Transitions to Measure Synchronization in Coupled Hamiltonian Systems
Transitions to measure synchronization in two coupled lattices
are investigated based on numerical simulations. The relationship between
measure synchronization (MS), phase locking and system's total energy is
studied both for periodic and chaotic states. Two different scalings are
discovered during the process to MS according to phase locking. Random walk
like phase synchronization in chaotic measure synchronization is found, and
phase locking interrupted by phase slips irregularly is also investigated.
Meanwhile, related analysis is qualitative given to explain this phenomenon.Comment: 10 pages, 6 figure
An Improved Traffic Matrix Decomposition Method with Frequency-Domain Regularization
We propose a novel network traffic matrix decomposition method named Stable
Principal Component Pursuit with Frequency-Domain Regularization (SPCP-FDR),
which improves the Stable Principal Component Pursuit (SPCP) method by using a
frequency-domain noise regularization function. An experiment demonstrates the
feasibility of this new decomposition method.Comment: Accepted to IEICE Transactions on Information and System

IMPACT. 1: The chapter at The Ohio State University has held more than 20 events, educating over 500 patients about their blood pressure, blood sugar, immunization, and medication. One of the greatest projects that SNPhA members created during the fall semester of 2013 was to help raise awareness for global child vaccination and to generate funds to make the eradication of polio disease possible in the developing world through Shot@Life, a United Nation Foundation campaign that empowers Americans to champion vaccines to save the lives of children in developing countries. Vaccines are one of the most cost-effective ways to save the lives of individuals; cheap and effective vaccines are available to prevent polio. Participants downloaded the CharityMiles application on their phone that logged the number of miles they ran/biked/walked to raise money for Shot@Life. Every 4 miles logged equaled 1 polio vaccine donated. SNPhA logged 989.395 miles, which raised 244 vaccines.OSU PARTNERS: College of PharmacyCOMMUNITY PARTNERS: Shot At Life; National Kidney Foundation; Heart of Ohio Family Health Centers; Central Ohio Diabetes Association (CODA); Capital Park Family Health CenterPRIMARY CONTACT: Kai Hu ([email protected])The Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) is devoted to projects and initiatives that aim to enhance community health and awareness concerning many different disease states. Our ultimate goal is to serve the underserved. As students at the College of Pharmacy, we are being trained as future professionals in the health care world. SNPhA is an outlet for us to apply our knowledge and skills as we learn and foster an attitude of service
