Damping of Fe-Al Alloy Electrodeposited in an Ionic Liquid
Iron-Aluminium alloys were produced by the electro-deposition of iron-aluminium on a copper substrate. The electro-deposition process was done in the ionic liquid 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium trifluoromethylsulfonate, [Py1,4]TfO. A solution of (0.2 M FeCl2 + 2.75 M AlCl3)/ [Py1,4] TfO was used at a temperature of T=363 K because this mixture is solid at room temperature. Electrodeposited samples were studied by means of mechanical spectroscopy, differential thermal analysis and laser light microscopy. Mechanical spectroscopy studies were performed as a function of temperature, frequency and strain. The usual damping peaks for copper, low temperature grain boundary peak, recovery peak and intermediate temperature grain boundary peak were observed. In addition, a new damping peak at around 800 K which is not thermally activated was discovered. The physical mechanism controlling the appearance of this new peak is the dissolution of small precipitates or agglomerates of defects which take place at around 800 K during the warming and the subsequent re-precipitation/re-agglomeration during the cooling. Regio- and Enantioselective Pd-Catalyzed Allylic Alkylation of Ketones through Allyl Enol Carbonates
The Pd-catalyzed reorganization of enol allyl carbonates to allylated ketones occurs asymmetrically in the presence of chiral ligands previously developed in this group. With 2-methylcyclohexanone, asymmetric regioselective alkylation occurs at the more substituted carbon without complications of polyalkylation. Alkylation to create quaternary centers in indanones and benzonabenone occurs in much higher ee than using tin or lithium enolates. The sense of enantioinduction in tetralones is opposite from the tin and lithium enolate examples. For the first time, asymmetric creation of tertiary centers occurs with high ee (78−99%). The different results between this reaction and the use of lithium or tin enolates suggest different mechanisms may be involved
Palladium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Allylic α-Alkylation of Acyclic Ketones
The first example of Pd-catalyzed asymmetric allyl alkylation of the conformationally nonrigid acyclic ketone enolates is reported with excellent yields, regioselectivity, and enantioselectivity. The double bond geometry of the allyl enol carbonates affects its reactivity, selectivity, as well as the absolute configuration of the products. An opposite enantioselectivity from what is predicted by a direct attack of the enolate on the allyl moiety of the π-ally−Pd complex was observed. An alternative mechanism was proposed, which involves an inner sphere process of coordination of the enolate to Pd followed by reductive elimination

Using qualitative content analysis, the basic characteristics of users’ needs were obtained. Logistic regression was used to explore the impact of different need characteristics of feedback. The main findings are as follows: 1) Disease consultation, health preservation, professional discussion, knowledge sharing and experience description are the major 5 types of information needs in the online TCM community; 2) Some users provided TCM-related information, such as the tongue image and the TCM four diagnosis; 3) A total of 78.8% of the posts received effective feedback, and the main types of feedback were answering, discussing, inquiring and emotional supporting; 4) Providing enough information can significantly and positively affect whether needs receive effective feedback, suggesting that users can present information about their condition in as many different formats as possible when articulating their needs.</div
