    Situation-based Learning Model Implementation through Thematic Learning as an Effort to Improve the Primary School Students' CPS Ability

    This research aims at measuring the improvement of the students’ CPS ability through the SBL model implementation through thematic learning. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group design involving all fourth grade students in public primary schools in Sumedang Regency. Meanwhile, the sample used in the research was one of public primary schools in North of Sumedang Regency by determining that 30 students of class IV-A included in the experimental class, and 32 students of class IV-B included in the control class. Based on the test instrument of CPS ability, the research results revealed that the SBL model implementation was able to improve significantly the CPS ability in thematic learning in the experimental class

    APPLICATION OF RADEC LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS' SCIENCE LITERACY ON HUMAN DIGESTIVE SYSTEM MATERIAL

    This study aims to determine how science literacy before and after using the RADEC learning model, how the difference in the improvement of science literacy in the class used, namely the experimental class (RADEC model) and the control class (conventional model) and know how the implementation of science learning using the RADEC model on Human Digestive System material. The method used is Quasi Experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The population of this study was a school in North Sumedang District with a research sample of grade V students totaling 112 students consisting of 56 female students and 56 male students. The instruments used were test instruments and observation sheets. The research data were processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS applications. The data analysis technique used to process data is the average measurement using Microsoft Excel while the normality test, homogeneity test, 2-group hypothesis test (t-test and U-test), and N-gain test using SPSS. The observation sheet instrument was processed by describing the research results based on objective conditions. Literacy before using the RADEC model obtained an average of 55.9 with the low category while afterward obtained an average of 80.4 with the high category. In addition, there is a difference in the improvement of science literacy between the experimental and control classes. The experimental class test scores had a greater increase than the control class. The experimental class had an average value of 0.55 while the control class with a value of 0.30 based on the N-Gain Test.     Peer Tutor Method to Improve Problem Posing Ability

    This study was conducted to determine the description of learning with the peer tutor method implemented through situation-based learning. The urgency of this study is to find out the problem posing ability of elementary school students as an intellectual skill that students must possess to support future competition. From the existing problems, students are accustomed to receiving knowledge without posing the problems they find. The peer tutor method through SBL facilitates students in problem-posing ability, problem-solving, and independent learning. The peer tutor method makes it easier for teachers to provide structured guidance to facilitate students through discussions. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method involving fourth-grade students, in which the data were obtained using observation, interview, and documentation guidelines. The obtained data were reduced to be able to conclude. This study found that learning through the peer tutor method involves active student roles, facilitates students to construct their knowledge in a guided manner, creates meaningfulness in students in posing problems, leads to follow-up questions, and responses to the problems posed

    Development of Android-based application on volume material in grade V

    In learning mathematics, especially volume material, students still have difficulty understanding the concept. One of the causes is the lack of use of learning media in the classroom to make it easier for students to understand the lesson. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of android-based applications about volume in class V and to determine the feasibility of the applications that have been developed. The research method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The data collection technique used in this study was an expert validation questionnaire and a user response questionnaire. The results showed that the developed application received a material and language expert validation score of 93.91%, and a media expert validation score of 86.67%. In addition, the results of product trials in small groups received a score of 98.33%, and the test results from the large group trial were 96.48%.     Pengaruh Media SMARD Terhadap Pemahaman Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VI Pada Materi Bangun Datar

    Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan mengenai urgensi dari meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dalam mempelajari matematika khususnya pada materi bangun datar. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik maka penelitian ini membahas mengenai media SMARD yang dibandingkan dengan media konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media SMARD terhadap pemahaman matematis peserta didik kelas VI. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan pretest dan postest Non-Equivalent Control Group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI se-kecamatan Cihaurbeuti dengan jumlah keseluruhan sebanyak 29 sekolah. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Teknik nonprobability sampling  sehingga dipilih SDN Padamulya 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen atau dengan menggunakan media SMARD dan SDN Padamulya 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional menggunakan media power point. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Media SMARD memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis, (2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada peserta didik yang melakukan pembelajaran menggunakan media SMARD dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran secara konvensional

    HOTS-Based Learning Versus HOTS-Based Test Instruments: A Study Analysis of Elementary School Teachers' and Students' Readiness

    The research is motivated by the demands for the readiness of elementary school teachers and students to face the Merdeka Curriculum, one of which is the demand for HOTS- based learning. The implementation of HOTS-based learning requires an evaluation using HOTS- based test questions as well. The objectives are, 1) to analyze and examine the readiness of teachers in supporting the implementation of HOTS-based learning and its evaluation using HOTS-based test instruments, and 2) to analyze and examine how students' readiness to receive HOTS-based tests, especially in mathematics. This study used the survey method. The survey was conducted on 172 teachers and 154 high grade students in West Java, Indonesia. The instrument used questionnaires, for teachers distributed through Google Form, while for students using paper questionnaires that were filled in manually. Research results: 1) Elementary school teachers aren’t fully prepared to implement HOTS-based learning, there are still misconceptions of teachers' understanding of HOTS learning; 2) In Mathematics, there are still many students who aren’t ready to accept the presence of HOTS-based test questions, because they haven’t mastered basic arithmetic skills. This is the biggest obstacle for students to be able to absorb, accept, and solve HOTS-based math questions as an evaluation standard in the Merdeka Curriculum

    Analisis Profesionalisme Guru dalam Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Daring di Masa Pandemi Covid-19

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis bagaimana profesionalisme guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey dengan pengembangan pertanyaan berupa pertanyaan terbuka dan tertutup. Adapun partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah lima orang yang merupakan guru di Sekolah Dasar. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan profesionalisme para guru dalam mengajar pada saat pembelajaran daring itu sangat baik, hal ini dapat diketahui dari pengembangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan beberapa inovasi seperti media pembelajaran yang dikemas khusus untuk pembelajaran daring dan alat penilaian yang digunakan juga menyesuaikan dengan keadaan daring yaitu berupa quiziz untuk penilaian pengetahuannya. Sedangkan untuk penilaian sikap dilakukan observasi selama pembelajaran tatap maya dan portofolio untuk penilaian keterampilan. Dalam pembelajaran daring guru juga tetap mempertahankan keprofesionalan mereka dengan tetap menyajikan pembelajaran yang nyaman, menyenangkan, aktif seperti saat pembelajaran di kelas secara tatap muka meskipun sekarang dilaksanakan daring. Beberapa pelatihan sangat amat diperlukan untuk guru sebagai upgrading skill demi tercapainya peningkatan keprofesionalan guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya di saat pandemi.  Sementara untuk hasil belajar siswa yang dilihat dari nilai rata-rata siswa pada pembelajaran daring sudah baik, namun jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran luring masih lebih baik pembelajaran luring

    Studi Implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila: Meningkatkan Berpikir Kritis di Sekolah Dasar

    Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dengan fokus pada Pembentukan Profil Pelajar Pancasila serta dampaknya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di sekolah dasar. Melalui Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek diterapkan dengan sukses meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi masalah, mengevaluasi data, dan membuat penilaian yang masuk akal. Meskipun demikian, implementasi program ini juga menghadapi beberapa tantangan, termasuk kurangnya dukungan dari orang tua dan sekolah serta kebutuhan akan sumber daya yang memadai. Namun, kolaborasi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat dianggap penting dalam mendorong keberhasilan program ini. Observasi guru dan siswa memberikan gambaran yang baik tentang implementasi program P5 di sekolah dasar. Meskipun berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman, keterlibatan, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, penelitian ini juga memberikan rekomendasi untuk peningkatan lebih lanjut, seperti pengembangan metode pengajaran yang kreatif dan menarik. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila merupakan langkah yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka di sekolah dasar. Dengan kolaborasi yang tepat antara berbagai pihak terkait, program ini memiliki potensi untuk terus berkembang dan memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar pada pendidikan karakter siswa di masa depan

    Penggunaan Video Animasi untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan dan Kesadaran Siswa Sekolah Dasar Terhadap Perundungan

    Perundungan adalah masalah yang dapat terjadi di lingkungan pendidikan. Adanya tindakan perundungan di pendidikan dasar bisa menjadi benih bentuk kekerasan lainnya. Peran pendidik di sekolah diperlukan dalam upaya menekan angka perundungan melalui berbagai strategi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan video animasi berbasis pendidikan karakter terhadap pemahaman siswa berdasarkan dua aspek yaitu pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang perundungan. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas tinggi sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Sumedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekan kuantitatif dengan desain prates-pascates yang dilaksanakan pada satu kelompok (one group pretest-posttest design). Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes yang diadministrasikan kepada 96 siswa untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang perundungan. Hasil uji-t berpasangan (paired) menunjukkan bahwa aspek pengetahuan memperoleh nilai p<0,05 (0,00<0,05) dan aspek kesadaran memperoleh nilai p<0,05 (0,00<0,05), artinya ada perbedaan antara rata-rata skor prates dan skor pascates dari aspek pengetahuan dan kesadaran. Penggunaan video animasi berbasis pendidikan karakter secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa kelas tinggi terhadap perilaku perundungan

    Digital Literacy Competency of Primary School Teacher Education Department Student as the Demands of 21st Century Learning

    The 21st century is the era that involves the use of digital devices. Thus, pre-service teachers demand to have many competencies, which in this case is digital literacy competency. There are four digital literacy competencies: digital skills, digital culture, digital ethics, and digital safety. This study employs a qualitative method of research design with a study case. The data were collected by conducting interviews. The analysis in this study was carried out by making a detailed description of the digital literacy competencies of primary school teacher education students and adding a detailed view of the aspects in the research. The participants in this study were 30 primary school teacher education students at a university in Sumedang Regency. The results reveal that mastering digital skills will help daily life work; mastering digital culture will help preserve culture and protect creation; mastering digital ethics will avoid many conflicts; and mastering digital safety can be aware of many crimes in the digital world. Students as prospective teachers are expected to know, and understand and master digital literacy for future teaching
