Efforts to attract students' interest in the learning process need to be carried out by the teacher. In the 21st century, the use of technology is the main key to applying interesting and fun learning media, especially in French listening skills. The difficulty of students in listening to foreign language speech is often encountered because they have insufficient background knowledge to support their hearing. For this reason, the application of technology-based learning media, especially virtual reality in French, can be done. This research is included in the development research design. The development steps according to the Lee and Owens (2004) development model include (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation (evaluation). The data collection technique used was in the form of a document study to determine the material to be developed based on the Alter Ego 1+ textbook. The material is analyzed first, then applied to virtual reality-based learning media. The use of this media can be a good strategy to motivate students in listening skills

However, up until now, there has been no book-shaped portfolio assessment that can be utilized by French teachers. This article presents the results from the first year of an ongoing development research which aims to determine the portfolio model required by Senior High School French teachers. Quantitative data were collected from 26 teachers via questionnaires in the form of google forms and analyzed using simple descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis showed that Senior High School French teachers need a portfolio assessment model for each semester that contain students’ identification, assignments which assess students’ core and basic competencies, assessment standards, guidelines for student self-evaluation, and awards related to French.   Keywords: portfolio assessment, Senior High School, French learning, research and developmen

The Halmahera Walking Shark (Hemiscyllium halmahera) is an endemic species in the Halmahera Sea. Information related to the environment in general has not been described in a complex manner. The environment is the main factor to support the life of biota. Environmental characteristics are a determining factor in the sustainability of biota. The study aims to provide information related to the physical environment of the habitat of the H. halmahera species. Primary data collection was carried out directly (in situ). Current data was taken using the Lagrange method using a currents drogue. Tides using tidal palms and observed for 24 hours. Secondary data was taken from Marine Copernicus and the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG). All data were tabulated and analyzed by Ocean Data View (ODV) software. The results of the study found that the surface current velocity was found to be in the fast current category. Current speed descriptively provides information on the life of H. halmahera. Primary data shows that the direction of the surface current moves to the east and north. Secondary data in vertical distribution shows weak zonal and meridional current shifts. The tidal pattern was found to be two high and low tides (semidiurnal). The distribution of surface temperature was found to be around 30-32oC. The vertical temperature profile found three layers, namely 1-13m (30oC), 65m (25oC) and 71m (20oC). The chemical environment showed all normal variables. The physical and chemical environmental conditions support H. halmahera to inhabit the sea area of Morotai Island. The environmental description has provided a brief understanding of how the ecological role of the H. halmahera species. Management and sustainability of the environment in the future due to climate change can be done with information on habitat characteristics. Keywords:coral triangleHalmaheranicheNorth Malukutropica
