The Effect of Air mattresses (Total Care P 500®) on Pressure Ulcer Prevalence and Incidence Rates among Adult Post Cardiac Surgical Patients
Background: Pressure ulcer development is a common problem worldwide, especially among patients in Intensive Care Units who are at higher risk of skin injury due to several factors such as limited mobility, inadequate skin moisture, illness, and poor nutritional status. Objective: To determine the effect of a newly introduced air mattress on pressure ulcer development among patients who underwent cardiac surgery in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within a tertiary care facility.Method: Quantitative descriptive retrospective observational design was used to describe the effect of air mattresses on the prevalence and incidence of pressure ulcers among adult post-cardiac surgical patients. A convenience sample of patients, who underwent cardiac surgeries, above fourteen years of age, and stayed at least one day in cardiac surgical intensive care unit during a six month period (1st April – 1st October, 2012) were enrolled in this study. Data was extracted from the patient’s charts and electronic medical records in a retrospective manner. Statistical Package for Social Scientists 20.0 was used to analyze the data. Results: Of 224, three patients developed stage two pressure ulcers over the sacral area (1.3%) comparing to 2.76% during the same period in 2011. The prevalence rate was 2.9% comparing to 7.67% reported in 2011. The results showed no statistical significant differences between the patients who developed pressure ulcers and the patients who were free of pressure ulcers. Length of stay and operating time duration were significant predictors for pressure ulcers development (p values, 0.006 and 0.051 respectively). Conclusions: Using air mattresses for cardiac surgical patients might help in reducing the incidence of pressure ulcers in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The length of stay and operating time were identified as the main risk factors in pressure ulcer development

Development of real time internet of things (IoT) based air quality monitoring system
The atmospheric air pollution is a major concern in modern cities, especially in developing countries like Malaysia. In this paper, we have reported an effective implementation for Internet of Things used for monitoring the level of air pollution based on Malaysia Air Pollution Index (API). The low-cost and real time system would be able to monitor regular air quality pollutants including Particulate Matter (PM) of PM2.5, PM10 and Carbon Monoxide (CO) gas as well as the temperatures and humidity of the surroundings. The system has capability to detect Good, Moderate, Unhealthy, Very Unhealthy and Hazardous API status. Based on 5 weeks of experimental API monitoring result on specified test location, the system was able to demonstrate promising results in providing a reliable real time monitoring of the air quality condition
Selection of Temperature Measuring Sensors Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process
This study presents an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to objectively select the best temperature sensor from among different alternative sensors in a certain industrial application. The underlying decision method based on AHP methodology, ranks temperature sensors with different features with a score resulting from the synthesis of relative preferences of each alternative with respect to the others at different levels considering independent evaluation criteria and sub-criteria. At each level, relative preferences of each candidate alternative with respect to the upper immediate level are calculated from pairwise comparisons among the candidate alternative sensors with respect to a selected application. Pair-wise comparison matrices are compiled based on views of experts in this field. Seven alternative sensors were considered: the thermocouple, the thermister, the resistance temperature detector (RTD), the bimetallic strip thermometer, the mercury-in-glass thermometer, the optical disappearing filament pyrometer, and the liquid crystal display semi conductor thermometer (LCD). Three industrial applications were also considered: Automotives, Chemical Processes, and Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning. A case study is conducted which involves selecting the best sensor for an automotive catalytic converter. The thermocouple is found to be the most preferred sensor for this application with the largest score of 0.37849, the second ranked sensor is the RTD with a score of 0.34589, and the least preferred sensor is the thermister with a score of 0.27560. To test the robustness of the proposed work, a sensitivity analysis was conducted in which variations in the relative preferences of the alternative sensors against sub-criteria and criteria were employed
A Software Application for the Selection of Temperature Measuring Sensors Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)
This study presents a software application that applies the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to objectively select the best temperature sensors. Three industrial applications and seven sensor alternatives are considered. The developed application performs the selection process in a computerised, easy–to–use graphical user interface. The underlying decision method ranks temperature sensors with scores resulting from the synthesis of relative preferences of each alternative at different levels considering independent evaluation criteria. Pair–wise relative comparison matrices collected from experts are embedded and are retrieved according to user specifications. A case study is conducted which involves selecting the best sensor for an automotive catalytic converter. The thermocouple is found to be the most preferred sensor with the largest score of 0.37849, the second ranked sensor is the RTD with a score of 0.34589, and the least preferred sensor is the thermister with a score of 0.27560. Sensitivity analysis shows that the selection of the best sensor is dependent on the relative weights of the criteria as well as the chosen application. AHP is shown to provide a quantitative evaluation method which is simpler, easier and more organised than subjective opinions

Three-dimensional kidney’s stones segmentation and chemical composition detection
Kidney stones are a common and extremely painful disease and can affect any part of the urinary tract. Ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) are the most frequent imaging modalities used for patients with acute flank pain. In this paper, we design an automated system for 3D kidney segmentation and stones detection in addition to their number and size evaluation. The proposed system is built based on CT kidney image series of 10 subjects, four healthy subjects (with no stones) and the rest have stones based on medical doctor diagnosis, and its performance is tested based on 32 CT kidney series images. The designed system shows its ability to extract kidney either in abdominal or pelvis non-contrast series CT images, and it distinguishes the stones from the surrounding tissues in the kidney image, besides to its ability to analyze the stones and classify them in vivo for further medical treatment. The result agreed with medical doctor's diagnosis. The system can be improved by analyzing the stones in the laboratory and using a large CT dataset. The present method is not limited to extract stones but, also a new approach is proposed to extract the 3D kidneys as well with accuracy 99%
Desain Interior Sinepleks Brylian Plaza Kendari Berkonsep “New Experience” dengan Langgam Neo-Gothic
