    Get PDF
This study examines the use of production factors in lanting kuning (food made from cassava, shaped like a small circle, and fried to dry like chips) producers in Sumpiuh District, Banyumas Regency. Researchers are interested in conducting research on lanting kuning because the number of producers decreases almost in every year. This study has the following research questions. First, how the influence of the production factors used such as capital, raw materials, and labor on the number of lanting kuning production. Second, how is the level of efficiency of the use of these production factors. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of capital, raw materials, and labor on the number of lanting kuning production, and analyze the level of efficiency of production factors based on the returns to scale. The research method used is a survey. Determination of the number of samples using the Slovin formula, found as many as 14 lanting kuning producers as respondents. Estimation of the Cobb-Douglas production function coefficient using multiple linear regression. The results showed that capital, raw materials, and labor had a positive and significant effect on the number of lanting kuning production. The level of efficiency is in decreasing return to scale, which means that increasing the use of all factors of production will be greater than the increase in the number of lanting kuning production. The implication is that the government provides support to micro and small businesses in the form of encouraging banks to provide a portion of working capital loans with interest and conditions that are easily fulfilled by producers. Local governments can help from upstream to downstream, for example, conduct training on how to work with cassava farmers to ensure the availability of raw materials for making lanting kuning, conduct training to improve skills to make food products that are safe for consumption and halal, and teach how to expand the marketing of production. Keywords: Cassava, Capital, Raw materials, Labor, Total production

    Get PDF
Indonesian sugar imports have increased due to a steady increase in sugar consumption, while domestic sugar output has increased but has not kept pace with consumption. This study aims to examine the impact of sugar consumption, income per capita, sugarcane harvested area, and sugarcane productivity on sugar imports in Indonesia. The data in this study include time series data from 1995 to 2021 that were analyzed using multiple regression. Sugar consumption and income per capita have a statistically significant positive effect on sugar import, whereas sugarcane harvested area and sugarcane productivity significantly negatively affect sugar import. Several policy options for reducing sugar imports are recommended, including reducing sugar consumption through education and healthy lifestyle programs, extending sugarcane-harvested areas, and rejuvenating and building new sugar mill.JEL Classification: F14, C22How to Cite:Inayaturrohmah, W. This research examines the factors that influence the income of traders in the Bintoro traditional market, which is located in Demak Regency. This research aims to analyze the influence of capital, working hours, business location, and market conditions on the income of traditional market traders in the Bintoro market. This research used primary data obtained from interviews and the dissemination of questionnaires. The population in this research were traders of vegetables, fruit, fish, chicken, snacks, clothes, shoes, and furniture totaling 304 traders, the sample in this research were 92 with 13 vegetable traders, 13 fruit traders, 12 fish traders, 12 chicken traders, 12 snack traders, 13 clothes traders, 12 shoe traders, and 5 furniture traders. The technique used is proportional stratified random sampling where respondents are randomly selected from each heterogeneous sub population. This research was analyzed using multiple linear regression with natural logarithm transformation. The estimation results using multiple linear regression indicate that the variable capital, working hours, and business location has a positive and significant effect on trader income.  Market conditions has a negative and insignificant effect on trader income. The implication of the above conclusion is that related to capital, there needs to be support from the government and banks to help increase the capital of traders. Working hours at Bintoro Demak market are already long, so traders are advised to use technology for their online market. The location of the business should be able to choose a strategic business location and can be reached by consumers, such as not choosing a location far from the main market road, maintaining good service quality with consumers, and maintaining the cleanliness of the location of the trading place. Keywords: Capital; Working Hours; Business Location; Market Conditions; Incom

The number of samples used in this study were 60 respondents with sampling using the snowball technique. Based on the results of the research and data analysis using logistic regression analysis, it shows that first, interest rate has a positive and significant effect on the coconut sugar producers's decision to take credit at BRI. Second, credit procedure has no effect on the coconut sugar producers's decision to take credit at BRI. Third, business location has a positive and significant effect on the coconut sugar producers's decision to take credit at BRI. The implications of the above conclusions relating to interest rate in this study should be in charging interest rates to customers, BRI Cilongok Unit as best as possible provides relatively affordable interest rates, but must still pay attention to the government regulations that have been set. Studi Empiris Kurva Phillips New Keynesian di Indonesia

ABSTRACT The present research was aimed to analyze New Keynesian Phillips Curve (NKPC) in Indonesia using time series data for 39 years, start from 1970 until 2008. We use generalized method of moments (GMM) for estimation and hypothesis testing for the following reason: GMM estimators can be constructed without specifying the full data generating process (which would be required to write down the maximum likelihood estimator). Price rate and unemployment rate were used as variables that will be estimated in this research. The result shows that all variables in NKPC estimation are significant. Inflation rate and unemployment rate have positive correlation. Our results tend to support the NKPC. Empirical evidence seemed to subsequently back up Friedman’s argument, as the 1970s saw the “stagflation” combination of high inflation and high unemployment that the Phillips curve relationship seemed to rule out. Keywords: New Keynesian  Phillips Curve, generalized method of moment

This study analyzes factors affecting food security in the ten highest rice-producing provinces in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of GDP per capita, rice prices, in-migration, and rice harvest area on food security in the ten highest rice-producing provinces in Indonesia in 2022 using a proxy rice availability ratio. This research was conducted using panel data analysis with a selected fixed effect model. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it was concluded that together the GDP variability per capita, rice prices, in-migration, and rice harvest area have a significant effect on the rice availability ratio. Partially, the GDP per capita variable has a negative and significant effect on the rice availability ratio, the rice price variable has a negative and significant effect on the rice availability ratio, the in-migration variable is not significant on the rice availability ratio, and the harvest area variable has a positive and significant effect on the rice availability ratio. The implication of the conclusions in this study is that government efforts are needed to foster awareness of food diversification, intensify price policy to protect consumers and producers or farmers, as well as optimize rice agricultural land, and support agricultural land protection to increase rice productivity. Keywords: Food Security, Rice Availability Ratio, Rice-Producing Provinces, Panel Dat
