    Hypertension is a medical condition marked increase in blood pressure beyond normal limits. Consumption of foods high in fiber and minerals (potassium, magnesium, and calcium) is useful for lowering blood pressure. Therefore, patients with hypertension are advised to diet Dash with one principle is to consume fruits and vegetables 4-5 servings/day. Good level of knowledge about the food which affect hypertension will facilitate changes in food consumption behavior of patients with hypertension. The media used is flip charts. The purpose of this study to examine the use of flip charts remind of knowledge and consumption patterns fruit and vegetable in patients with hypertension in the Puskesmas Perumnas I West Pontianak. This type of research is Pre-Experiment with one group pretest posttest design. The test used is the paired t-testest and Wilcoxon. The number of samples was 20 samples and the research was conducted in June 2018. The results showed that there were differences in knowledge before and after the intervention (p= 0,000), while the pattern of consumption of fruits and vegetables showed no differences before and after the intervention (p= 0.184). The difference in average knowledge before and after the intervention was 25.33, while the difference in the average value of the pattern of fruit and vegetable consumption before and after the intervention was 33.33. Suggestions in this study for respondents, they can get used to consuming fruits and vegetables everyday by participating in the program GERMAS (Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat) which is held by health workers at the puskesmas and for further research in conducting research on knowledge and patterns of consumption fruits and vegetables, performed at least for 3 months

    Efektivitas Edu-Anemia dalam Peningkatan Pengetahuan dan Kepatuhan Mengonsumsi Tablet Fe di Pontianak

    Teknologi yang semakin canggih di era modern saat ini membuat manusia sangat tergantung pada handphone berbasis smartphone, hingga seluruh kegiatan banyak diselesaikan melalui smartphone. Memanfaatkan hal itu, Aplikasi Edu-Anemia memberikan pesan otomatis meliputi hal hal yang berkaitan dengan anemia. Informasi tersebut akan muncul setiap pagi hari dengan isi pesan yang berbeda selama 14 hari, dan akan berulang sebanyak 6 kali terhitung sejak penelitian dimulai. Selain itu dilengkapi juga dengan kolom kepatuhan minum tablet tambah darah, pesan pengingat minum tablet Fe pada malam hari, serta soal-soal pendeteksi anemia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimental, dengan  melihat efek dari penggunaan aplikasi Edu-Anemia dan leaflet serta kartu kontrol konsumsi tablet Fe yang disediakan oleh Puskesmas Telaga Biru dalam kelompok yang berbeda terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan serta kepatuhan dalam mengonsumsi tablet Fe pada remaja putri, yang diuji menggunakan metode uji sebelum dan sesudah mendapat perlakuan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 90 hari dengan sampel sebanyak  30 sampel dalam setiap kelompok. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang signifikan dari penggunaan aplikasi Edu-Anemia terhadap pengetahuan dan kepatuhan remaja dalam mengonsumsi tablet Fe (p = 0.00). Perlu penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai inovasi pencatatan minum tablet Fe, dan adanya ide kreatif meningkatkan kedisiplinan remaja dalam mengonsumsi tablet Fe

    The toddler years require adequate nutritional intake to support growth and development. The toddler's diet, apart from being an effort to meet nutritional needs, is also an initial effort to introduce food. The more diverse you are introduced to tastes, textures, colors and various processing, the more children will get a wealth of references to the variety and types of food. Mistakes in feeding toddlers will not only cause nutritional problems during infancy, but are also associated with nutritional problems in later life.Stunting in toddlers is closely related to the diet they are given. Apart from being related to family food availability, child feeding is determined by knowledge and skills in providing food. Diet is often related to culture, so nutritional problems often occur in certain groups. Counseling efforts with limited resources can be carried out to increase the effectiveness of message delivery.Group counseling is an effort to solve problems for patients with the same problem. By gathering patients with relatively similar problems, the message will be more focused and it can even happen that they share experiences with each other

    STATUS OF EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING AND COMMUNITY-BASED TOTAL SANITATION (STBM) ON STUNTING EVENTS IN PEAT AND THE KAPUAS RIVER

    Abstract   Background: Stunting occurs due to a lack of micro and macro nutrients which are not sufficient both in quality and quantity, and also due to the presence of chronic diseases, especially when still in the womb until the age of 2 years. The prevalence of stunting can also be caused by exclusive breastfeeding status. Giving breast milk for less than 4 months has a risk of 7.325 times greater for disrupting its development compared to toddlers more than 4 months getting breast milk. The study aimed to determine the status of exclusive breastfeeding and Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) with the incidence of stunting in peat soils and the banks of the Kapuas River. This type of research is an analytical design that uses a case-control design to compare the peat area with the Kapuas watershed in terms of stunting related to the risk of stunting factors. This study used a retrospective approach with a total sample of 50 case groups and 50 control groups. The data obtained will be analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods using Logistic Regression. The results showed that there was a significant relationship (p='<0.05) between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in peat soils and riverbanks. Toddlers who are not exclusively breastfed for 6 months on peat soils and riverbanks have 7.5 times and 3.3 times chance that stunting will occur. There is no significant relationship between Community-Based Total Sanitation and the incidence of stunting on peat soils and riverbanks (p='>0.05). However, toddlers who do not do STBM have the opportunity to experience stunting. Conclusion. There is a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding status and the incidence of stunting. There is no significant relationship between STBM status and the incidence of stunting

    Abstract: Application Of Nutrition Education Model To Breakfast Behavior In Basic School Children. Based on Data Riskesdas, (2010), 16-59% of school children in Indonesia are not accustomed to breakfast. School children who are used to breakfast 44.6% with energy consumption levels <15% AKG, 70% with poor breakfast nutritional quality with only drinking water / coffee / tea or with 1 (one) piece of small cake. Behavior is strongly influenced by various faktors including knowledge, intention and motivation of children to do breakfast, so needed a method to move child intention in doing breakfast. This research used to know how far effect of nutrition education to knowledge, habit, nutritional value and arrangement of breakfast food. The research method used was quasi experiment (Non-Randomized group pre-post test) with research subjects as many as 50 children divided into 2 (two) treatment groups (each group consists of 25 people). Educational media used the method of playing a smart ball game and counseling. The result of this research is there is a significant difference of knowledge level and value of knowledge score in both groups. The group of children who were educated with smart ball games had an average score higher than the group of children who received education through counseling (p <0.05).Abstrak: Penerapan Model Edukasi Gizi terhadap Perilaku Sarapan pada Anak Sekolah Dasar.  Data Riskesdas, (2010), 16-59% anak sekolah di Indonesia  tidak terbiasa  sarapan.  Anak sekolah yang terbiasa sarapan 44.6% dengan tingkat konsumsi energi <15% AKG, 70% dengan mutu gizi sarapan yang tergolong buruk dengan hanya minum air/kopi/teh atau dengan 1 (satu) potong kue kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh edukasi gizi terhadap pengetahuan, kebiasaan, nilai gizi dan susunan makanan sarapan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment (Non-Randomized grup pre–post test) dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 50 anak dibagi dalam 2 (dua) kelompok perlakuan (masing kelompok terdiri dari 25 orang). Media edukasi yang digunakan penggunaan metode permainan bola pintar dan penyuluhan. Hasil Penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan yang signifikan tingkat pengetahuan dan nilai skor pengetahuan pada kedua kelompok. Kelompok anak yang mendapatkan edukasi dengan permainan bola pintar memiliki rata-rata skor nilai lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok anak yang mendapatkan edukasi melalui penyuluhan (p<0,05). 

    A nutrition diary-book effectively increase knowledge and adherence of iron tablet consumption among adolescent female students

    ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Edukasi gizi yang tepat dapat merubah remaja putri untuk berperilaku hidup sehat. Inovasi program edukasi yang dapat memotivasi remaja putri dalam mencari dan mengkonsumsi tablet zat besi secara teratur sangat dibutuhkan sehingga dapat menurunkan prevalensi anemia di Indonesia.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh edukasi melalui buku diary gizi terhadap pengetahuan gizi, minat mencari tablet zat besi dan kepatuhan remaja putri dalam mengkonsumsi tablet zat besi (Fe).Metode: Quasi experimental (Non-Randomized group pre–post test) study dengan 50 subyek penelitian yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok perlakuan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswi remaja putri di SMA di Kota Pontianak, dengan kriteria umur 14-16 tahun sudah haid dan bersedia menjadi subjek penelitian. Intervensi berlangsung selama dua bulan efektif. Kelompok intervensi diberikan tablet zat besi (Fe) + buku Diary Gizi dan kelompok kontrol tanpa buku Diary Gizi. Tablet zat besi (Fe) yang diberikan mengandung 60 mg Fe elemental dan 20 mg asam folat. Data dianalisis menggunakan software komputer dan disajikan dalam bentuk tekstular dan table, dengan uji statistik Chi square dan t test. Hasil: Hasil penelitian program suplementasi zat besi (Fe) dikalangan remaja putri belum popular. Tingkat pengetahuan siswi yang mendapatkan edukasi gizi dengan Buku Diary lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswi yang mendapatkan edukasi melalui penyuluhan (p&lt;0,05). Siswi dari kelompok buku Diary Gizi lebih patuh dalam mengkonsumsi tablet zat besi (p&lt;0,05). Kesimpulan: Pemberian dan aktivitas dengan catatan harian buku Diary Gizi dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan meningkatkan kepatuhan remaja putri dalam mengkonsumsi tablet zat besi (Fe). The age of the subjects were 14-16 years old, already had menstruation and were willing to be research subjects for 2 months. Iron tablets and nutrition diary-books were administered to intervention group and were administered to control group without nutrition diary-books. The results were analyzed using chi square and t-test.Results: The level of knowledge who get education about nutrition by having nutrition diary-books is better compared to female students who get the education through elucidation (p&lt;0.05).     AN OVERVIEW OF THE DETERMINANTS OF NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF ADOLESCENT GIRLS IN TELOK PAKEDAI KUBU RAYA SUB-DISTRICT, WEST KALIMANTAN

    One of the efforts to reduce stunting in children under five is to pay attention to nutrition problems in adolescents. This is important considering that nutrition problems in adolescents have many determinants. The main problems in the form of diet and infection still do not get a clear picture. Especially in geographically isolated areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of nutritional status and determinant factors associated with the nutritional status of adolescents in Telok Pakdai District, Kubu Raya Regency. This type of research is crossectional, which is a study in which data collection is done at one time. The population in this study were all adolescent girls. The sample in this study were all adolescent girls from 10 villages in Telok Pakedai District. Data analysis shows that there is a relationship between diet and knowledge of nutritional status, but there is no relationship between history of infectious diseases and nutritional status in adolescent girls in Telok Pakedai District

    Edukasi dengan Cinema Gizi (Cinemagiz) dalam Pencegahan Anemia pada Remaja

    Anemia pada remaja putri berhubungan dengan anemia ketika dewasa dan saat kehamilan. Remaja putri memiliki risiko lebih besar terjadi anemia. Menstruasi menyebabkan zat besi dan zat gizi lainnya ikut terbuang bersama darah haid. Pencegahan anemia zat besi pada remaja putri saat ini melalui pendidikan gizi, pemberian tablet zat besi. Defisiensi zat besi ditemukan pada sebagian siswi SMA Katolik Talino. Sekolah tersebut belum pernah mendapatkan suplementasi zat besi dan edukasi gizi dari petugas kesehatan. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi dan anemia serta niat siswi dalam mendapatkan dan mengonsumsi tablet zat besi melalui media film. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dimulai dengan pembuatan film yang diberi nama sinemagiz, bertemakan anemia pada remaja putri. Sasaran kegiatan adalah siswa SMA Katolik Talino yang diajak menonton bersama di sekolah. Kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan membagikan tablet zat besi kepada para siswi. Efek kegiatan diukur melalui pre-test dan post-test, sedangkan efek kegiatan pada siswa putra dan pihak sekolah didapatkan melalui penyampaian pesan dan kesan setelah menonton sinemagiz. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan serta minat positif siswi dalam mendapatkan dan mengonsumsi tablet zat besi. Pemutaran sinemagiz disarankan untuk dapat diadopsi menjadi salah satu alternatif edukasi yang dapat bekerja sama dengan pihak puskesmas dan pihak lainnya dalam upaya pencegahan anemia pada remaja putri.  Kejadian anemia pada remaja putri berhubungan dengan anemia ketika dewasa dan saat kehamilan. Remaja putri memiliki risiko lebih besar terjadi anemia. Menstruasi menyebabkan zat besi dan zat gizi lainnya ikut terbuang bersama darah haid. Pencegahan anemia zat besi pada remaja putri saat ini melalui pendidikan gizi, pemberian tablet Fe. Namun, capaian distribusi di tingkat nasional masih &lt;30%, sedangkan di Kalimantan Barat angkanya jauh lebih kecil lagi. Kondisi ini lebih memprihatinkan jika ditambah dengan tidak kepatuhan dalama mengkonsumsisinya. Terbatasnya kemampuan anggaran dari pemerintah perlu disiasati dengan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang anemia sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya anemia. Metode pelaksanaan PkM yang dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan audio visual "CINEMA GIZI" disingkat "Cinemagiz". Peserta memperoleh materi edukasi gizi melalui film Cinemagiz serta memberi umpan balik di akhir kegiatan. Peningkatan pengetahuan peserta diukur dengan melakukan pre-test dan post-test. Pengabdi juga menilai persepsi peserta terhadap metode yang digunakan. Kegiatan PkM berjalan sangat baik yang ditunjukkan dengan kesiapan sekolah dalam memfasilitasi kegiatan, peningkatan pengetahuan dan niat positif siswi, serta kontribusi puskesmas dalam membagikan tablet Fe kepada siswi untuk dikonsumsi selama tiga bulan.&nbsp; Kegiatan serupa disarankan untuk diadopsi oleh puskesmas bekerja sama dengan sekolah agar anemia dapat diatasi. &nbsp; &nbsp

The purpose of this study was to find out the improvement of cadre’s skills in determining nutrtitional status by using the nutritionla bar design conducted on 45 caders subjects in Poyandu Lingga Village and Pancaroba Village, sungai Ambawang District Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan.the results showed that the average skills of posyandu caders before being given training on the use nutritional ruler was 36.00 and after being given nutrition relur media increased to 95.22. Conclusion there are differences in the posyandu cader’s skill in using the nutrition bar to determine the nutritional status of children under five between before and after the nutrition bar is given (p=0,000)
