    Application of the Teams-Games Tournament Learning Model, Problem-Based Learning, and Direct Instruction in Mathematics Learning about Statistics

    This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the learning outcomes of students who are taught statistics using the DI, TGT, or PBL models. Class VIII A is taught using the TGT cooperative learning model, Class VIII B is taught using the PBL cooperative learning model, and Class VIII C is taught using the DI cooperative learning model. One-way analysis of variance (One-Way Analysis of Variance) is the research design used. After the treatment, the results of the post-test measurement of student learning outcomes were used to compile data. The research method used is quasi-experimental. Based on the ANOVA hypothesis test with a significance level of 0.05, Fcount = 4.3068056 > Ftable = 3.150, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, the average learning outcomes of students taught by the DI model, suitable TGT type, and PBL differ. So that additional tests can be carried out using the BNT test and the results obtained. The average learning outcomes of students taught using the DI model were significantly lower than those taught using the TGT model (mean = 83.13636). The average learning outcomes of students taught by the DI model (mean = 73.19047) are different from those of students taught by the PBL learning model (mean = 82.1429), while the average learning outcomes of students taught by cooperative learning type TGT and PBL are identical

    This research aims to determine the differences in the learning outcomes of students who experience the Make a Match (MAM) type of cooperative learning model offline and students who experience the online MAM type cooperative learning model in terms of their academic abilities. This research was conducted at the Tombatu Christian Vocational School in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The research method used is quasi-experimental, and the research design used is a two-factor analysis of variance. The research object was 18 students in class X of the Nursing Department using the MAM-type cooperative learning model offline and 20 students in class X of the Computer and Network Engineering Department (TKJ) using the MAM-type cooperative learning model online. The research instrument used was a test of learning outcomes through an essay. The study results show that: (1) There are significant differences in the learning outcomes of students with high academic ability in classes that experience the offline MAM-type cooperative learning model and online MAM. The learning outcomes of students with high academic abilities who study offline are better than those who study online. (2) There is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of students with low academic ability in classes that experience the MAM-type cooperative learning model offline and online. The learning outcomes of students with low academic ability who study offline are better than those who study online. (3) Significant differences exist in student learning outcomes in classes that experience the offline and online MAM-type cooperative learning model. The learning outcomes of students who study offline are better than those of online students

    This study aims to determine  the average difference in learning outcomes for Cartesian Coordinate material taught using the Numbered Headt Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) score 0f 75. The population in this study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Motoling Timur consists of 2 classes with a total 60 students with a sample selected from 1 class, namely class VIII, totaling 30 students. The learning tools user are RPP and LKPD. The data obtained were the results of the Posttest of experimental class students with average 0f 88,26 and a standard devitation of 7,87. The data normaliry test is fulfilled, namely Lcount  = 0,115 <  Ltable = 2,045 where the data is normally distributed. The result of data analysis with a real level of 0,05 abtained tcount = 9,22 > ttable = 2,045 so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It was concluded that the average student learning outcomes in  Cartesian Coordinate material taught using NHT type learning exceeded the Minimum Learning Completeness determined by the school namely 75

This research is motivated by problems found in learning mathematics which are found from various aspects, one of which is the lack of proper use of Student Worksheets (LKPD). The purpose of this study was to produce Student Worksheets (LKPD) on Triangle material with the Think Talk Write (TTW) type cooperative learning model in class VII SMP Negeri 7 Kotamobagu which is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is research and development (R&D) using the 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The assesment score from the results of the expert validator’s assessment is 95 with a very valid category. For the practicality assessment score seen from the teacher’s response with a score of 98 and for student responses with a score of 87 in the very good category. The develop LKPD meets the effective criteria based on a classical learning completeness percentage of 79%. In conclusion, the developed LKPD is valid, pratical, effective for use in learning

    This research aims to find out the difference in student learning outcomes applied to the GBL learning model using direct learning methods. This type of research uses experimental research with a quantitative approach. The research population is all students of class VIII Suluun Tareran State Junior High School, the 2023/2024 school year consisting of three classes, with a total of 41 learners. Samples taken based on random sampling techniques were obtainted by students of class VIII A as an experimental class and class VIII B as a control class. The study used posttest-only control design. Student posttest results data are tested requirement, namely normality test and homogeneity test before hypothesis test. The results of the hypothesis test analysis with a real level of ???? = 0.05 obtained ????â„Ž???????????????????? = 2.580 and ???????????????????????? = 2.048, then the ????â„Ž???????????????????? > ???????????????????????? means reject the ????0  so that the ????1  accepted is ????1 > ????2. This it is concluded, that the average student learning outcome taught using the GBL learning model is better than the average student learning outcome taught using direct learning methods

    Students' abilities in solving mathematical problems need to be improved. Many students still need help solving mathematical problems, especially story problems. This research analyses students' errors in solving mathematics problems using the Newman procedure on straight-line equations. The research method used is qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques use qualitative data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. The conclusions obtained include: (1) reading errors with a percentage of 3%, which is classified as very low; (2) comprehension errors with a percentage of 10%, which is classified as very low; (3) Transformation errors with a percentage of 14% which is classified in the deficient category, (4) Process skill errors with a percentage of 38% which are classified as low category, (5) Final answer writing errors with a percentage of 18% which are classified as deficient categor

    Budaya merupakan semua aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh manusia, termasuk pengetahuan, cara berpakaian, cara bicara, adat-istiadat dan kebiasaan yang dilakukan. Sehingga, budaya memiliki keterkaitan erat dengan pendidikan. Bisop (1991) mengatakan bahwa matematika ialah suatu wujud budaya. Hal inilah yang menghubungkan antara matematika dengan budaya yang disebut sebagai Etnomatematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep program linear pada pembuatan kue adat Tamo serta mengetahui makna dari kue adat Tamo Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe. Program linear adalah metode matematika yang berfokus pada pemecahan masalah yang berkaitan dengan optimasi linear atau penentuan dari nilai maksimum dan nilai minimum. Dari definisi program linear ini, maka dapat dilihat bahwa metode matematika ini tepat digunakan dalam proses pembuatan kue adat Tamo asal Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Tabukan Selatan dengan mengambil 5 orang, diantaranya 2 orang pelaku adat, 2 orang pembuat kue Tamo, dan 1 orang guru matematika sebagai pemberi informasi dalam wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat penggunaan konsep program linear dalam pembuatan kue adat Tamo yang belum diketahui oleh para pembuat Tamo. Konsep ini bertujuan untuk memberikan optimasi bahan dalam proses pembuatan kue adat Tamo agar terpakai secara maksmial sesuai dengan kondisi atau ukuran tekahe (cetakan) jika hendak dilakukan pembuatan kue adat yang lebih besar dari ukuran yang biasanya. Proses pembuatan kue adat Tamo dapat digunakan sebagai gambaran dalam soal cerita matematika yang kemudian akan dimodelkan kedalam bentuk matematika sebagai Langkah pemecahan masalah menggunakan konsep program linear

Manado State University. Tondano 2023. The aim of this research is to develop learning tools based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) on tube material in class VII A of SMP Negeri 1 Tondano. To see the quality of the development of this learning tool, it is seen from three aspects, namely validity, practicality and effectiveness. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. According to the validity aspect, the expert validator's score for the teaching module was 94 with very valid criteria and for the Student Worksheet (LKPD) the score was 92 with very valid criteria. According to the practical aspect, assessment is seen from the teacher's response and the student's response. The assessment score obtained from the teacher's response was 96 with very good criteria and the assessment score for student responses was 88 with very good criteria. According to the effectiveness aspect, the learning tools developed are effective as seen from the completion of the student learning outcomes test, which is 81%. So the results of this research are the learning tools developed that are valid, practical and effective for use in learning

    Berdasarkan observasi yang dilaksanakan pada peserta didik di SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, masih banyak ditemukannya masalah yang berhubungan dengan pemahaman konsep matematis. Seperti peserta didik kurang memiliki pemahaman dalam hal menyelesaikan beberapa variasi soal yang berbeda dari contoh soal yang telah diberikan, peserta didik hanya bisa menghafalkan rumus tetapi tidak mengetahui cara mengerjakan soal yang berkaitan dengan rumus tersebut, peserta didik mempunyai kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal dalam bentuk cerita termasuk dalam materi barisan dan deret, dan kurangnya keberanian peserta didik untuk mengerjakan soal di depan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman suatu konsep matematis peserta didik dalam hal menyelesaikan soal cerita materi Baris dan Deret pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 21 siswa kelas XA di SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes tertulis yang terdiri dari 4 soal cerita dan wawancara yang terdiri dari 6 indikator pemahaman konsep matematis. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada tingkat pemahan konsep matematis siswa kategori tinggi terdapat 8 siswa dengan presentase 38%, tingkat pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kategori sedang terdapat 12 siswa dengan presentase 57%, dan tingkat pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kategori rendah terdapat 1 siswa dengan presentase 5%. Maka, dilihat dari nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa, jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada penelitian ini berada pada tingkat pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang di kategorikan sedang

    This study investigates the association between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy in relation to student learning outcomes at MAN Model 1 Manado. This type of study is correlational in nature. The population was comprised of 240 students, and the sample size was 36. The instruments utilized were self-efficacy and emotional intelligence questionnaires. The technique employed for data analysis is partial and multiple correlation analysis.
