    FCG-ASpredictor: An Approach for the Prediction of Average Speed of Road Segments with Floating Car GPS Data

    The average speed (AS) of a road segment is an important factor for predicting traffic congestion, because the accuracy of AS can directly affect the implementation of traffic management. The traffic environment, spatiotemporal information, and the dynamic interaction between these two factors impact the predictive accuracy of AS in the existing literature, and floating car data comprehensively reflect the operation of urban road vehicles. In this paper, we proposed a novel road segment AS predictive model, which is based on floating car data. First, the impact of historical AS, weather, and date attributes on AS prediction has been analyzed. Then, through spatiotemporal correlations calculation based on the data from Global Positioning System (GPS), the predictive method utilizes the recursive least squares method to fuse the historical AS with other factors (such as weather, date attributes, etc.) and adopts an extended Kalman filter algorithm to accurately predict the AS of the target segment. Finally, we applied our approach on the traffic congestion prediction on four road segments in Chengdu, China. The results showed that the proposed predictive model is highly feasible and accurate.     A rapid unmanned aerial vehicle inspection path planning method based on hybrid heuristic algorithm

    The advancement of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and remote sensing technologies has fueled interest in automatic UAV inspection path planning based on inspection tasks. However, traditional methods suffer from limitations such as manual operation, inability to find optimized paths, and lengthy time consumption. We propose a rapid UAV inspection path planning method using a hybrid heuristic algorithm in this paper. First, real-world data is abstracted into a graph. Then, a hybrid heuristic algorithm is proposed and used to determine an optimal inspection path considering the tasks and power parameters of the UAV. Finally, the total power consumption for the mission is computed to assess UAV battery capacity adequacy. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in terms of both performance and accuracy

    YQ36: A Novel Bisindolylmaleimide Analogue Induces KB/VCR Cell Death

    Overexpression of multidrug resistance proteins P-glycoprotein (P-gp, MDR1) causes resistance of the tumor cells against a variety of chemotherapeutic agents. 3-(1-methyl-1H-indol-3-yl)-1-phenyl-4-(1-(3-(piperidin-1-yl)propyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-3-yl)-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione (YQ36) is a novel analogue of bisindolylmaleimide, which has been reported to overcome multidrug resistance. Here, we dedicated to investigate the anticancer activity of YQ36 on KB/VCR cells. The results revealed that YQ36 exhibited great antiproliferative activity on three parental cell lines and MDR1 overexpressed cell lines. Moreover, the hypersensitivity of YQ36 was confirmed on the base of great apoptosis induction and unaltered intracellular drug accumulation in KB/VCR cells. Further results suggested that YQ36 could not be considered as a substrate of P-gp, which contributed to its successfully escaping from the efflux mediated by P-gp. Interestingly, we observed that YQ36 could accumulate in nucleus and induce DNA damage. YQ36 could also induce the activation of caspase-3, imposing effects on the mitochondrial function. Collectively, our data demonstrated that YQ36 exhibited potent activities against MDR cells, inducing DNA damage and triggering subsequent apoptosis via mitochondrial pathway

    Integrated electro-optically tunable narrow-linewidth III-V laser

    We demonstrate an integrated electro-optically tunable narrow-linewidth III-V laser with an output power of 738.8 {\mu}W and an intrinsic linewidth of 45.55 kHz at the C band. The laser cavity is constructed using a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and a tunable Sagnac loop reflector (TSLR) fabricated on thin film lithium niobate (TFLN). The combination of the FBG and the electro-optically tunable TSLR offers the advantages of single spatial mode, single-frequency, narrow-linewidth, and wide wavelength tunability for the electrically pumped hybrid integrated laser, which features a frequency tuning range of 20 GHz and a tuning efficiency of 0.8 GHz/V

    Simultaneous Quantification and Pharmacokinetic Study of Five Homologs of Dalbavancin in Rat Plasma Using UHPLC-MS/MS

    Dalbavancin is a novel semisynthetic glycopeptide antibiotic that comprises multiple homologs and isomers of similar polarities. However, pharmacokinetic studies have only analyzed the primary components of dalbavancin, namely B0 and B1. In this study, an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) method was developed to simultaneously determinate and investigate the five homologous components of dalbavancin, namely, A0, A1, B0, B1, and B2, in rat plasma. In this method, methanol was used to precipitate plasma, and a triple-bonded alkyl chromatographic column was used for molecule separation, using 0.1% formic acid-acetonitrile as the mobile phase for gradient elution. Targeted homologs were analyzed by a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer using positive electrospray ionization in multiple reaction monitoring mode. The linearity range was 50–2500 ng/mL with a high correlation coefficient (r2 > 0.998). This method was successfully applied in the pharmacokinetic analysis of dalbavancin hydrochloride to investigate dalbavancin components in rats
