The 13th Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey: First Spectroscopic Data from the SDSS-IV Survey Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory
The fourth generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-IV) began observations in July 2014. It pursues three core programs: APOGEE-2,MaNGA, and eBOSS. In addition, eBOSS contains two major subprograms: TDSS and SPIDERS. This paper describes the first data release from SDSS-IV, Data Release 13 (DR13), which contains new data, reanalysis of existing data sets and, like all SDSS data releases, is inclusive of previously released data. DR13 makes publicly available 1390 spatially resolved integral field unit observations of nearby galaxies from MaNGA,the first data released from this survey. It includes new observations from eBOSS, completing SEQUELS. In addition to targeting galaxies and quasars, SEQUELS also targeted variability-selected objects from TDSS and X-ray selected objects from SPIDERS. DR13 includes new reductions ofthe SDSS-III BOSS data, improving the spectrophotometric calibration and redshift classification. DR13 releases new reductions of the APOGEE-1data from SDSS-III, with abundances of elements not previously included and improved stellar parameters for dwarf stars and cooler stars. For the SDSS imaging data, DR13 provides new, more robust and precise photometric calibrations. Several value-added catalogs are being released in tandem with DR13, in particular target catalogs relevant for eBOSS, TDSS, and SPIDERS, and an updated red-clump catalog for APOGEE.This paper describes the location and format of the data now publicly available, as well as providing references to the important technical papers that describe the targeting, observing, and data reduction. The SDSS website, http://www.sdss.org, provides links to the data, tutorials and examples of data access, and extensive documentation of the reduction and analysis procedures. DR13 is the first of a scheduled set that will contain new data and analyses from the planned ~6-year operations of SDSS-IV.PostprintPeer reviewe
Endotoxemic shock from urinary calculus dog
This study aims to present a case of a dog of the Bichon Frizé breed, male that arrived on the 06/08/2015 at Provet - Moema Pathology Service for a necropsy. According to the history provided by the owner, four days before the death of the animal, the dog began to limp during the tour, presented episodes of limping for two consecutive days, and had a cardiac arrest. After receiving medications he had three more episodes of emesis and had a new cardiorespiratory arrest that led him to death. On the history of the animal, four years before the death the animal had its urinary bladder ruptured (S.I.C.). It is believed that the animal has seen as the bane endotoxemic shock generated by necrotizing and hemorrhagic cystitis with chronic active vasculitis
Synthesis and physical-chemical properties of ionic liquids based on 1-n-butyl-3-methylimidazolium cation
The reaction of 1-n-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (BMI.Cl) with sodium tetrafluoroborate or sodium hexafluorophosphate affords the molten salts BMI.X (1, X= BF4 and 2, X= PF6).
Compounds 1 and 2 are viscous liquids within a wide range of temperature (down to 192 K). IR, NMR, density, viscosity and conductivity measurements suggest that compound 2 behaves quasi-molecular. Compound 1 is quasi-molecular below 279 K, but at higher temperatures is probably composed of imidazolium and tetrafluoroborate ions in an extended hydrogen-bonded

Three new renal simulators for use in nuclear medicine
Renal scintigraphy is useful to provide both functional and anatomic information of renal flow of cortical functions and evaluation of pathological collecting system. The objective of this study was develop and evaluate the performance of three renal phantoms: Two anthropomorphic static and another dynamic. The static images of the anthropomorphic phantoms were used for comparison with static renal scintigraphy with 99mTc-DMSA in different concentrations. These static phantoms were manufactured in two ways: one was made of acrylic using as mold a human kidney preserved in formaldehyde and the second was built with ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) in a 3D printer. The dynamic renal phantom was constructed of acrylic to simulate renal dynamics in scintigraphy with 99mTc-DTPA. These phantoms were scanned with static and dynamic protocols and compared with clinical data. Using these phantoms it is possible to acquire similar renal images as in the clinical scintigraphy. Therefore, these new renal phantoms can be very effective for use in the quality control of renal scintigraphy, and image processing systems
