Business Process Analysis and Implementation Strategies of Greening Logistics in Appliances Retail Industry
The whole world ecological environment worsens, and low-carbon economical and sustainable development becomes the general trend. The retail trade as the middle link of the whole economic cycle plays an important role on the relations of each essential factor in the entire economic environment. The concepts of low-carbon economy, and green logistics, and electrical appliances retail trade are discussed and the problems existing in the green logistics of the electrical appliances retail trade are explored. Based on the analysis of the business process and functions of green logistics in the electrical appliances retail trade, the system architecture of green logistics in the electrical appliances retail trade is established. Finally, the strategies and measures of greening logistics in the electrical appliances retail industry are proposed
The Expression Levels of XLF and Mutant P53 Are Inversely Correlated in Head and Neck Cancer Cells.
XRCC4-like factor (XLF), also known as Cernunnos, is a protein encoded by the human NHEJ1 gene and an important repair factor for DNA double-strand breaks. In this study, we have found that XLF is over-expressed in HPV(+) versus HPV(-) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and significantly down-regulated in the HNSCC cell lines expressing high level of mutant p53 protein versus those cell lines harboring wild-type TP53 gene with low p53 protein expression. We have also demonstrated that Werner syndrome protein (WRN), a member of the NHEJ repair pathway, binds to both mutant p53 protein and NHEJ1 gene promoter, and siRNA knockdown of WRN leads to the inhibition of XLF expression in the HNSCC cells. Collectively, these findings suggest that WRN and p53 are involved in the regulation of XLF expression and the activity of WRN might be affected by mutant p53 protein in the HNSCC cells with aberrant TP53 gene mutations, due to the interaction of mutant p53 with WRN. As a result, the expression of XLF in these cancer cells is significantly suppressed. Our study also suggests that XLF is over-expressed in HPV(+) HNSCC with low expression of wild type p53, and might serve as a potential biomarker for HPV(+) HNSCC. Further studies are warranted to investigate the mechanisms underlying the interactive role of WRN and XLF in NHEJ repair pathway
Herb Target Prediction Based on Representation Learning of Symptom related Heterogeneous Network.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has received increasing attention as a complementary approach or alternative to modern medicine. However, experimental methods for identifying novel targets of TCM herbs heavily relied on the current available herb-compound-target relationships. In this work, we present an Herb-Target Interaction Network (HTINet) approach, a novel network integration pipeline for herb-target prediction mainly relying on the symptom related associations. HTINet focuses on capturing the low-dimensional feature vectors for both herbs and proteins by network embedding, which incorporate the topological properties of nodes across multi-layered heterogeneous network, and then performs supervised learning based on these low-dimensional feature representations. HTINet obtains performance improvement over a well-established random walk based herb-target prediction method. Furthermore, we have manually validated several predicted herb-target interactions from independent literatures. These results indicate that HTINet can be used to integrate heterogeneous information to predict novel herb-target interactions
Earthquake prediction method based on seismogenic process tracking
Accurate earthquake prediction is one of the ways to effectively reduce earthquake disasters. Until now, empirical earthquake prediction methods have remained in use, but the accuracy falls far short of what is needed to effectively mitigate earthquake disasters. The trend in earthquake prediction lies in the transition from empirical prediction to physical prediction, and the key to this transition is to achieve a deeper understanding, depiction, and tracking of the seismogenic process. According to the experimental results of rock mechanics, it can be found that before failure, the rock mainly experienced a stress-increase stage and a subsequent stage of sub-instability. We have analyzed the seismogenic process of some natural earthquakes. In the analysis, apparent stress and b-value are used together to obtain information on the stress variability of the crustal medium. The correlation between seismicity and Earth rotation (described by p-value) is used to obtain information about the critical state or sub-instability phase of the crustal medium. Thus, the seismogenic process can be depicted. In this paper, based on a case study of the seismigenic process for some natural strong earthquakes, we propose an idea and method for earthquake prediction based on the tracking of the seismogenic process, and provide a basis for the identification of short- to mid-term seismic risk regions. It is expected to be beneficial for practical earthquake prediction
Critical success criteria for B2B E-commerce systems in Chinese medical supply chain.
The paper presents an exploratory investigation to determine and prioritise the critical success criteria, which can measure and guide the successful application and performance improvement of business to business e-commerce system (BBECS) in a medical supply chain's selling and buying functions, in the context of global business expansion. The research reveals that the buying and the selling functions have different prioritisations on the majority of the determined critical success measuring criteria. These criteria are categorised into three Critical Success Measuring Criteria Groups, for the selling and the buying functions, respectively, guiding medical supply chain members in harnessing the full advantage of a BBECS. For the selling function, the top critical success measuring criteria are as follows: integrating information searching/transmission and application processes, ensuring the reliability and timeliness of technical support, ensuring recognition and acceptance of e-commerce processes, displaying the organisation's business focus and product/service provisions online, securing a large scale/amount of business transactions, adjusting production outputs and inventory levels and having more registered users than competitors do. The top critical success measuring criteria for the buying function are as follows: securing the establishment of business relationships between businesses, displaying the measures ensuring mutual trust and cooperation online, ensuring employees' recognition of the benefit of e-commerce in increasing revenue, ensuring the contribution to the development and realisation of corporate strategy, achieving cost reduction for the organisation, making the purchase of famous brand products available/doable, securing a large scale/amount of business transactions, and ensuring the attainability of products/services at a lower price
Enhanced magnetoresistance in NiFe/GaAs/Fe hybrid magnon valve
The magnon valve (MV), which consists of a one spacer layer sandwiched between two ferromagnetic layers, is a potential spintronic device. The operation principle of the magnon valve depends on magnon current propagating between the two magnetic layers. More specifically, the magnon current is induced in one ferromagnetic layer and then injects magnons into the other ferromagnetic layer through the spacer layer. During this process, the magnetization of the injected ferromagnetic layer is changed, leading to the different relative magnetic orientations of the two magnetic layers. Here, we investigated the electromagnetic property of the NiFe/GaAs/Fe magnon valve assisted by microwaves with various frequencies. We find that the magnetoresistance (MR) of the magnon valve increases up to 40% when applying an external 3.4GHz microwave. The increase in the magnetoresistance results from the magnon current propagating between the two ferromagnetic layers. The magnons induced by the external microwave share the same phase, and thus the magnon current can penetrate into a 70 μm thick GaAs by coherent propagation
Bibliometric and visual analysis of immunisation associated with acute kidney injury from 2003 to 2023
ObjectiveThis study aims to conduct a detailed bibliometric and visual analysis of acute kidney injury (AKI) and immune-related research conducted over the past two decades, focusing on identifying emerging trends and key areas of interest.MethodsThe Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) was utilised for the meticulous examination of various parameters including publication volume, authorship, geographic distribution, institutional contributions, journal sources, prevalent keywords and citation frequencies. Data were intricately visualised and interpreted using VOSviewer, CiteSpace and Excel 365 software.ResultsAnalysis of the WoSCC database revealed 3,537 articles on AKI and immunisation, originating from 94 countries and regions, involving 3,552 institutions and authored by 18,243 individuals. Notably, the top five countries contributing to this field were the United States, China, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, with the United States leading with 35.76% of total publications. Among the 3,552 contributing institutions, those in the United States were predominant, with Harvard University leading with 134 papers and 3,906 citations. Key journals driving productivity included Frontiers in Immunology, Kidney International, Journal of the American Society of Nephrology and International Journal of Molecular Sciences, with Kidney International being the most cited, followed by Journal of the American Society of Nephrology and New England Journal of Medicine. Prominent authors in the field included Ronco Claudio, Okusa Mark D and Anders, Hans-Joachim. Co-citation clustering and timeline analysis highlighted recent research foci such as COVID-19, immune checkpoint inhibitors, regulated necrosis, cirrhosis and AKI. Keyword analysis identified “inflammation,” “ischaemia-reperfusion injury,” “sepsis,” “covid-19,” and “oxidative stress” as prevalent terms.ConclusionThis study provides the first bibliometric analysis of AKI and immune research, offering a comprehensive overview of research hotspots and evolving trends within the field
Elevation of serum human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) as predicting factors for the occurrence of acute kidney injury on chronic kidney disease: a single-center retrospective self-control study
Objectives: To evaluate whether novel biomarkers of renal injury, serum HE4 and NT-proBNP could predict acute kidney injury (AKI) on chronic kidney disease (CKD) (A on C) and assess the specificity and efficiency of serum creatinine (SCr), HE4 and NT-proBNP in identifying potential AKI. Meanwhile, the potential early-warning value of HE4 and NT-proBNP in CKD patients was explored.Methods: We performed a single-center, retrospective cohort study of 187 adult CKD patients. 32 AKI (grades 1–2) patients with pre-existing CKD (stages 3–5) were Group 1, 59 patients of CKD (stages 4–5) were Group 2. Another 96 patients of CKD (stages 1–3) were Group 3. All patients received general treatments, Group 1 patients received Chinese herb formulation (Chuan Huang Fang-Ⅱ, CHF-Ⅱ) simultaneously. These 155 CKD (stages 1–5) without AKI patients were observed for descriptive analysis.Results: HE4 in Group 1 (860.63 ± 385.40) was higher than that in Group 2 (673.86 ± 283.58) before treatments. BUN, SCr, UA, NGAL, IL18, HE4 and NT-proBNP in Group 1 were lower, while eGFR was higher (p < 0.01, after vs. before treatments). In Group 1, both HE4 and NT-proBNP were positively correlated with SCr (respectively r = 0.549, 0.464) before treatments. The diagnostic performance of serum HE4 and NT-proBNP for A on C was 351.5 pmol/L, 274.5 pg/mL as the optimal cutoff value Area Under Curve (AUC) 0.860 (95% CI: 0.808 – 0.913, p < 0.001), [AUC 0.775 (95% CI: 0.697 – 0.853, p < 0.001), with a sensitivity and specificity of 100% and 66.5%, 87.5% and 48.8%, respectively]. In Group 2, serum HE4 was correlated with SCr (r = 0.682, p < 0.01) before treatments. Serum HE4 and NT-proBNP were elevated in advanced CKD stages, and were increased as CKD stages progressed with statistical significance.Conclusion: This work indicated serum HE4 and NT-proBNP should elevate in A on C and CKD patients, HE4 is positively correlated with the disease severity, and patients with higher HE4 and NT-proBNP usually have poorer prognosis. Thus, serum HE4 and NT-proBNP are impactful predictors of A on C. Additionally, serum HE4 and NT-proBNP have the potential to evaluate clinical efficacy of A on C
Complex Networks Approach for Analyzing the Correlation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Evolvement and Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Stable Coronary Heart Disease
This is a multicenter prospective cohort study to analyze the correlation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome evolvement and cardiovascular events in patients with stable coronary heart disease (CHD). The impact of syndrome evolvement on cardiovascular events during the 6-month and 12-month follow-up was analyzed using complex networks approach. Results of verification using Chi-square test showed that the occurrence of cardiovascular events was positively correlated with syndrome evolvement when it evolved from toxic syndrome to Qi deficiency, blood stasis, or sustained toxic syndrome, when it evolved from Qi deficiency to blood stasis, toxic syndrome, or sustained Qi deficiency, and when it evolved from blood stasis to Qi deficiency. Blood stasis, Qi deficiency, and toxic syndrome are important syndrome factors for stable CHD. There are positive correlations between cardiovascular events and syndrome evolution from toxic syndrome to Qi deficiency or blood stasis, from Qi deficiency to blood stasis, or toxic syndrome and from blood stasis to Qi deficiency. These results indicate that stable CHD patients with pathogenesis of toxin consuming Qi, toxin leading to blood stasis, and mutual transformation of Qi deficiency and blood stasis are prone to recurrent cardiovascular events
