Notes sobre les "Floretes" de Sant Francesc i la seva recepciĂł a Catalunya
This article analyses the historical context of The Fioretti, or Little Flowers, of Saint Francis of Assisi, one of the most emblematic works of Franciscan literature, originally written in Latin, revised at the end of the 14th century and translated into Italian. The article focuses on the structure of this work and especially the chapters dedicated to Saint Clare, the only female character to receive a treatment of renewal from Saint Francis. The article also looks at the reception of the Fioretti in Catalonia, where the work arrived towards the end of the 19th century at the time of the renewal of the Franciscan movement. The movement had a profound influence on the poetry of Jacint Verdaguer and was made available through two translations by the canon of Vic Jaume Collell and the great poet Josep Carner
