ECOBRICK : ALTERNATIF PEMANFAATAN BOTOL PLASTIK BEKAS DI DESA KAJARTENGGULI SIDOARJO

ABSTRACT Plastic bottle waste is a wasted material. Waste still has economic value if it is reused into a useful item. The residents of the Kajartengguli village in Sidoarjo numbered 2637 people, which was dominated by women with a total of 1366 people, still often dispose of garbage by burning it. Training activities on the use of used plastic bottles for PKK women with the ecobrick method can provide a double function, namely knowledge of the use of used plastic bottles while reducing the volume of waste. The training method for making ecobricks begins with socialization, questions and answers, demonstrations, practice and mentoring. The results obtained are an increase in public understanding about plastic waste, ecobrick products and mothers can practice directly making plastic waste into ecobrick product

Pengendalian Kualitas Produk Griller Menggunakan Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA) dan Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

A company engaged in the slaughterhouse of boiler chickens and one of its products is griller, which is chicken that is cut in a halal manner and packaged in the form of a whole carcass. Based on daily reports, the number of defects found in griller products shows a percentage of up to 30%. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of defects found in grillers so that alternative improvements can be determined. This research uses the Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify the most dominant types of defects in the product and find the causes. The highest defects from the FMEA results are processed by the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method to provide improvement proposals so as to reduce the number of existing defects. The results of this study show that the most dominant type of defect is feathers remaining on the carcass with the highest RPN value of 175. The defect of feathers still remaining on the carcass is caused by workers who do not follow the SOP correctly, the changing size of raw materials, and rubber. The plucking machine is worn and loose, the settings of the plucking machine are loose, the temperature of the scalder tends to drop, the inspection in the process is not correct, there is no information on how to operate the machine, the raw materials are not uniform, and the working environment temperature is high and noisy

Pengendalian Kualitas Produk Tas Wanita Menggunakan Metode Seven Tools dan Kaizen

UD. Jaya Collection mengalami berbagai masalah, termasuk kecacatan produk yang diduga karena kurangnya pengendalian kualitas dalam proses produksinya. Kecacatan mencapai 24 pcs (9%) pada Juni, 26 pcs (9%) pada Juli, dan 22 pcs (8%) pada Agustus. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui penyebab kecacatan produk tas wanita dan memberikan usulan perbaikan dan mengetahui cara untuk mengendalikan kecacatan pada kualitas produk. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu seven tools dan kaizen. Seven tools adalah seperangkat alat dasar untuk menguji kualitas yang bisa mendukung perusahaan guna mengatasi masalah dan meningkatkan proses. Alat-alat ini penting untuk kemajuan setiap organisasi menuju keunggulan. Teknik analisis seven tools mencakup analisis flow chart, check sheet, histogram, scatter diagram, diagram pareto, control chart, dan fishbone. Alat-alat implementasi kaizen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Kaizen Five – M Checklist adalah sebuah alat yang fokus pada lima elemen kunci dalam setiap proses, yaitu manusia, metode, mesin, material, dan lingkungan. Five Step Plan ini adalah suatu metode dalam pelaksanaan Kaizen yang sering digunakan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan di Jepang. Langkah-langkah ini dikenal dengan 5-S, yang diambil dari kata-kata dalam bahasa Jepang, yaitu seiri (pemilahan), seiso (penataan), seiton (kebersihan), seiketsu (pemeliharaan), dan shitsuke (pembiasaan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecacatan tertinggi pada November 41 dari 412 pcs dan terendah pada September 25 dari 265 pcs. Jenis kecacatan antara lain jahitan tidak rapi 28 pcs, resleting rusak 24 pcs, lem kurang menempel 25 pcs, kain berjamur 19 pcs. Untuk perbaikannya dibutuhkan peningkatan keterampilan pekerja, perawatan mesin, penanganan material, SOP, dan kondisi kerja. Berdasarkan metode Kaizen, sebagai usulan perbaikan dapat melakukan : Five M Checklist, 5S, fokus pada pengawasan, pelatihan, perawatan mesin, material, SOP, dan lingkungan. Food waste adalah masalah yang sedang dihadapi diberbagai negara khususnya di indonesia Super market sebagai tempat penghujung pada rantai pasok makanan sering kali menghasilkan sampah berupa sampah makanan. Oleh karena itu, ini adalah target yang berpotensi baik untuk langkah-langkah pengurangan sampah makanan yang dihasilkan oleh supermarket, meskipun supermarket menyumbangkan porsi sampah makanan yang relatif kecil.Penelitian ini akan dilakukan di kecamatan Porong kabupaten Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini merupakan gabungan antara studi eksploratif dan pengembangan model. Penelitian ini melakukan pendekatan dengan sistem dinamik untuk menampilkan permasalahan yang yang terjadi pada supermarket. Dari masalah tersebut pendekatan sistem dinamik dan pengembangan model melalui software stella Dari hasil analisa dan pengolahan data dapat ketahui banyaknya food waste buah slice sebesar 51kg dan fried chiken sebanyak 42pcs dengan  kerugian akibat food waste tersebut sebesar Rp2.053.281,00. Profil Pengadaan Bekatul Padi di Kabupaten Sidoarjo dan Sekitarnya

Bekatul merupakan hasil samping proses penggilingan padi yang memiliki prospek untuk dikembangkan sebagai pangan, khususnya pangan fungsional. Kabupaten Sidoarjo berpotensi mengembangan makanan berbasis bekatul dilihat dari potensi daerah sebagai penghasil padi dan letaknya yang berdekatan dengan Surabaya sebagai ibu kota provinsi Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari profil pengadaan bekatul padi di kabupaten Sidoarjo dan sekitarnya, yakni Pasuruan dan Mojokerto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dilakukan dengan wawancara langsung dengan petani dan penyosohan beras mulai bulan Juni hingga bulan Juli 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Potensi pengadaan bekatul di tiga kabupaten diperkirakan sebesar 93.184,64 – 116.480,8 ton (8 - 10% dari total gabah) per tahun 2) Jenis bekatul yang diperoleh berasal dari padi varietas IR 64, Ciherang, Serang dan jenis-jenis lain yang termasuk jenis unggul lokal dan nasional, 3)Suplai bekatul terutama terjadi pada musim panen yaitu bulan April-Mei,Agustus- September 4) Suplai bekatul tidak tergantung musim panen karena penyosohan beras beroperasi sepanjang tahun dan mendapat suplai gabah dari luar kabaupaten hingga luar provinsi, 5) Jenis penyosohan beras di tiga kabupaten ada dari yang berteknologi sederhana, sedang, dan tinggi yang berbeda pada kadar serat kasar yang dihasilkan ,6) Pemanfaatan bekatul masih sebatas sebagai pakan ternak, bahan bakar dan bahan bangunan, dan media tanam

This research will use the CRAFT method. The purpose of the CRAFT method is to evaluate the factory layout in order to get the most optimal results that are harmonized with the ARC method. Data collection in this study is through measuring the distance between stations and the number of stations in the company. The results of research using the CRAFT method resulted in a layout of proposed production areas with a total FTC distance of 807.88 meters
