    Nutrición enteral en el recién nacido prematuro

    Introducci√≥n: Seg√ļn la OMS la mala alimentaci√≥n est√° asociada al 35% de las muertes de la ni√Īez, esto hace que haya que tener un especial cuidado de la nutrici√≥n del reci√©n nacido prematuro. Para ellos existen varias formas de nutrici√≥n enteral, la forma de primera elecci√≥n, siempre que se desee y no este contraindicada, ser√° la lactancia materna ya que cubre la mayor√≠a de los requerimientos nutricionales del reci√©n nacido. Tambi√©n existen f√≥rmulas artificiales que vienen preparadas para una alimentaci√≥n completa del prematuro. En el caso de que se presente intolerancia para la leche materna y/o f√≥rmulas artificiales, existen tambi√©n f√≥rmulas adaptadas. Objetivo: Describir los diferentes tipos de nutrici√≥n enteral en el reci√©n nacido prematuro hospitalizado. Material y m√©todos: Para la realizaci√≥n de esta revisi√≥n bibliogr√°fica se han consultado art√≠culos de la literatura cient√≠fica de las bases de datos de Google Acad√©mico, Scielo y Dialnet. Conclusi√≥n: El alimento de primera elecci√≥n en el reci√©n nacido prematuro es la lactancia materna, ya que presenta unas caracter√≠sticas que cubre todos los requerimientos nutricionales del reci√©n nacido. Cuando la lactancia materna est√© contraindicada, no pueda o no se desee administrar se pueden utilizar f√≥rmulas artificiales. Si no es posible administrar ni lactancia materna ni f√≥rmulas artificiales, debido a una intolerancia, existen f√≥rmulas adaptadas especiales para cada tipo de reci√©n nacido. Las v√≠as de administraci√≥n de la nutrici√≥n enteral en el reci√©n nacido prematuro es a trav√©s de la v√≠a oral, y en el caso de que esta no sea posible, se administra mediante la utilizaci√≥n de sondas nasog√°strica u orog√°strica, y en los casos m√°s graves a trav√©s de una gastrostom√≠a percut√°nea.Grado en Enfermer√≠

    Situational-Context: A Unified View of Everything Involved at a Particular Situation

    As the interest in the Web of Things increases, specially for the general population, the barriers to entry for the use of these technologies should decrease. Current applications can be developed to adapt their behaviour to predefined conditions and users preferences, facilitating their use. In the future,Web of Things software should be able to automatically adjust its behaviour to non-predefined preferences or context of its users. In this vision paper we define the Situational-Context as the combination of the virtual profiles of the entities (things or people) that concur at a particular place and time. The computation of the Situational-Context allow us to predict the expected system behaviour and the required interaction between devices to meet the entities’ goals, achieving a better adjustment of the system to variable contexts.Universidad de Málaga.     Context-aware mobile app for the multidimensional assessment of the elderly

    Rural areas in Europe are presenting a decreasing population density and an increasing age index. These elders usually present multiple diseases that require complex tools to identify the exact cares that they need. Currently, different frameworks can evaluate their functional status and identify the required cares to maintain their Quality of Life, together with the associated cost to the health system. Nevertheless, these frameworks are usually questionnaires that have to be performed by already overloaded professionals. In this paper, we make use of mobile technologies to build a system capable of monitoring the activities of the elderly and analysing these data to assess their functional status. The experiments carried out show us that it correctly evaluates these patients and reduces the effort required by health professionals

    Actualmente hay multitud de cursos y tutoriales que muestran c√≥mo hacer el dise√Īo, desarrollo y despliegue de APIs en entornos Cloud. Existen multitud de herramientas que dan soporte y facilitan este proceso. Durante los √ļltimos a√Īos est√°n adquiriendo cada vez m√°s importancia arquitecturas de despliegue alternativas, como Fog Computing y Edge Computing, que explotan las capacidades de otros elementos como pueden ser los dispositivos finales del usuario (m√≥viles, tablets, switchs, etc.). Sin embargo, el n√ļmero de herramientas que den soporte al desarrollo y despliegue en estos dispositivos es mucho menor. En este minitaller se mostrar√° c√≥mo se pueden dise√Īar y desplegar APIs tambi√©n en dispositivos m√≥viles basados en Android.     Coordinating heterogeneous IoT devices by means of the centralized vision of the SDN controller

    The IoT (Internet of Things) has become a reality during recent years. The desire of having everything connected to the Internet results in clearly identified benefits that will impact on socio economic development. However, the exponential growth in the number of IoT devices and their heterogeneity open new challenges that must be carefully studied. Coordination among devices to adapt them to their users' context usually requires high volumes of data to be exchanged with the cloud. In order to reduce unnecessary communications and network overhead, this paper proposes a novel network architecture based on the Software-Defined Networking paradigm that allows IoT devices coordinate and adapt them within the scope of a particular context.Universidad de Málaga.     Prevalencia de pigmentaciones ex√≥genas en dentici√≥n primaria por ingesta de suplementos F√©rricos En Ni√Īos - Puerto Maldonado

    La presente investigaci√≥n tuvo como objetivo determinar la prevalencia de pigmentaciones ex√≥genas en dentici√≥n primaria asociada a la ingesta de suplementos f√©rricos en ni√Īos de 3 a 5 a√Īos en el Centro de Salud ‚ÄúJorge Ch√°vez‚ÄĚ-Puerto Maldonado. Para esto se cont√≥ con un dise√Īo de investigaci√≥n descriptivo, prospectivo, transversal y observacional; para determinar la muestra se tom√≥ de un total de 783 pacientes habiendo seleccionado seg√ļn criterios de inclusi√≥n y exclusi√≥n, se seleccion√≥ 79 ni√Īos con administraci√≥n de sulfato ferroso, los cuales, con el consentimiento informado firmado por la madre, fueron evaluados en la unidad dental, con luz artificial y un equipo de examen dental. Se utiliz√≥ como instrumentos la c√©dula de entrevista y fichas de observaci√≥n cl√≠nica mediante la clasificaci√≥n Shourie, luego de realizar el an√°lisis estad√≠stico de los datos de manera descriptiva e inferencial realizada con la prueba chi-cuadrado, prueba exacta de Fisher-Yates y coeficiente de contingencia, para encontrar y evaluar las relaciones de las pigmentaciones negras ex√≥genas con las variables de inter√©s se lleg√≥ a la conclusi√≥n de que existe una relaci√≥n significativa entre el √≠ndice Ceod y la pigmentaci√≥n p<0.001, as√≠ mismo los ni√Īos con pigmentaciones extr√≠nsecas presentaron un Ceod con una media de 9.83 y una desviaci√≥n standard de +-3.601, mientras que aquellos sin pigmentaciones un Ceod con una media de 4.60 y una desviaci√≥n standard de +3.248, existiendo diferencia altamente significativa entre estos valores con p=0.000, se encontr√≥ una prevalencia del 7.6%

    Situational-Context for Virtually Modeling the Elderly

    The generalized aging of the population is incrementing the pressure over, frequently overextended, healthcare systems. This situations is even worse in underdeveloped, sparsely populated regions like Extremadura in Spain or Alentejo in Portugal. In this paper we propose an initial approach to use the Situational-Context, a technique to seamlessly adapt Internet of Things systems to the needs and preferences of their users, for virtually modeling the elderly. These models could be used to enhance the elderly experience when using those kind of systems without raising the need for technical skills. The proposed virtual models will also be the basis for further eldercare innovations in sparsely populated regions

    Dropout Prediction: A Systematic Literature Review

    Dropout predicting is challenging analysis process which requires appropriate approaches to address the dropout. Existing approaches are applied in different areas such as education, telecommunications, retail, social networks, and banking services. The goal is to identify customers in the risk of dropout to support retention strategies. This research developed a systematic literature review to evaluate the development of existing studies to predict dropout using machine learning, following the guidelines recommended by Kitchenham and Peterson. The systematic review followed three phases planning, conducting, and reporting. The selection of the most relevant articles was based on the use of Active Systematic Review tool using artificial intelligence algorithms. The criteria identified 28 articles and several research lines where identified. Dropout is a transversal problem for several sectors of economic activity, where it can be taken countermeasures before it happens if detected early

    Hybrid Random Forest Survival Model to Predict Customer Membership Dropout

    Dropout prediction is a problem that must be addressed in various organizations, as retaining customers is generally more profitable than attracting them. Existing approaches address the problem considering a dependent variable representing dropout or non-dropout, without considering the dynamic perspetive that the dropout risk changes over time. To solve this problem, we explore the use of random survival forests combined with clusters, in order to evaluate whether the prediction performance improves. The model performance was determined using the concordance probability, Brier Score and the error in the prediction considering 5200 customers of a Health Club. Our results show that the prediction performance in the survival models increased substantially in the models using clusters rather than that without clusters, with a statistically significant difference between the models. The model using a hybrid approach improved the accuracy of the survival model, providing support to develop countermeasures considering the period in which dropout is likely to occur.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
