A Correlation Between Students' Mastery of Simple Past Tense and Their Ability in Writing Recount Text
The result of the research showed that the mean for the mastery of simple past tense was 30.76 mean for writing ability of recount text was 59.06. From those data, 0.9201 was gotten for the coefficient rxy. Because the coefficient rxy was not equal with 0, the null hypothesis (HO) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was confirmed. Therefore, there was a significance correlation between student's mastery of simple past tense and their ability in writing recount text at the evaluate grade students of SMAN 16 MAKASSAR in the academic year 2015/2016. Due to the result of this research, the student should study more about simple past tense specifically and grammar generally. They should also study text types completely include their generic structures and lexicon grammatical features. Then teacher as the facilitator should be able to facilitate the need of the students in any materials
Penggunaan Jerk Untuk Deteksi Dini Kerusakan Bantalan Gelinding Dan Pemantauan Kondisi Pelumasan
This paper describes the use of jerk signal, a signal obtained from differentiation of the acceleration signal with respect to time, for detecting the early damage of a bearing and bad lubrication conditions. The use of jerk signal is expected to result more sensitive detection than that obtain using acceleration signal. To prove this hypothesis, this paper shows the results of vibration measurement for needle bearings and taper roller bearings with variation of load level, types of bearing damage, and lubrication condition. Comparisons of acceleration and jerk signals are performed in both time domain, by comparing their RMS values, as well as in frequency domain, by comparing their spectrums. The results of the experiment show that the use of jerk signal can give a more sensitive result in detecting bearing damage than that produced using acceleration signal. Moreover, the use of jerk signal can lead to better results in detecting bad lubrication of rolling bearing than that obtain using Crest Factor (CF) value
Effect Of Nutrient Deficient Media & Environmental Stressors On Microalgal Growth
Research on microalgae has been greatly developed as microalgae are one of the new fast solution‟s to many of world‟s problems such biofuel, environmental remediation, aquaculture and hunger. Microalgae are great factory because of their components that can be extracted and converted into many kinds of product. Every single cell of microalgae is a tiny factory which produces certain useful products. A few of the important extracted product are lipid, carbohydrate and protein, and different species of algae produce different composition of this amount.
In order to produce valuable products, it is very important to view algae culture under different environmental stressors to maximize algae production. The studies in this project are based on four different species, which are Isochrysis galbana spp., Tetraselmis batan spp., Nannochloropsis spp. and Pavlouva lutheri spp. The optimum number of cells and kinetic growth of 250C, pH 7, and 24 hours normal light intensity are determined. The extractions of lipid from both fresh and dried algae are done. Different environmental stressors are given to Pavlouva lutheri spp (salinity and photoperiod) and the optical density and amount of lipid content are verified
Total phenolic content, antioxidant and cytotoxic activity of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) polyphenols extracts on cancer cell lines
Introduction:
Cancer chemopreventive agents from natural sources have been actively investigated over the years to seek prevention against cancer. In this study, cocoa polyphenols extract (CPE) was examined to explore its antioxidant and cytotoxicity activities.
Methods:
CPE was analysed for total phenolic content (TPC) and antioxidant activity (DPPH radical scavenging activity and FRAP ferric-reducing antioxidant power assays). In vitro cytotoxicity effect of CPE against HepG2, HT-29, HeLa, MCF-7, MDA-MB-231 and WRL-68 cell lines after 48 h exposure was measured by MTT assay.
Results:
The study showed that CPE had higher total phenolic content (13560.0±420.1 mg GAE/100g dry weight of sample) than vitamin E (p<0.05). CPE exhibited strong antioxidant activity comparable with ascorbic acid in both DPPH (IC50 = 14.73±1.47 μg/ml) and FRAP (2130.33±2.33 μM of FE/1 mg of dry weight of sample). The cytotoxicity study showed that CPE exhibited the highest cytotoxicity effect against MCF-7 with lowest IC50 value (3.00±0.29 mg/ml) compared to other cancer cell lines after 48 h treatment (p<0.05).
Conclusion:
Our results indicate that CPE demonstrated high total phenolic content, free radical scavenging activity, ferric reducing ability and cytotoxicity activity towards HepG2, HT-29, HeLa, A549, MDA-MB- 231 and MCF-7 cancer cell lines. Further isolation of bioactive constituents from CPE should be done to characterise its potential chemopreventive activity as well as to elucidate the mechanism of cancer cell death induced by CPE
ANALISIS PENDAPATAN NELAYAN IKAN TUNA (Thunus albacares) DI PANGKALAN PENDARATAN IKAN (PPI) OEBA KELURAHAN FATUBESI KECAMATAN KOTA LAMA KOTA KUPANG
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa besar tingkat pendapatan nelayan ikan tuna diPangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Oeba dan cara Penanganan ikan tuna setelah ditangkap sebelumdijual untuk ekspor.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan dan kuantitatifsedangkan data pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara dan dokumentasiPopulasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 24 kapal nelayan dengan sampel yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini sebanyak 4 kapal nelayan. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan purposivesampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi metode kepustakaanHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah total hasil tangkap ikan tuna bulan Juli 2018 sebanyak581 ekor dengan berat total 14.030 Kg dan berat rata-rata 24,15 Kg/ekor. Total hasil tangkapan ikantuna untuk ekspor adalah 308 ekor dengan berat total 10.230 Kg dan nilai jual Rp.398.977.800,- Totalhasil tangkapan ikan tuna non ekspor adalah 273 ekor dengan berat total 3.800 Kg dan nilai jualRp.131.430.000,- Total hasil tangkapan ikan tuna untuk Ekspor dan Non Ekspor adalah 581 ekordengan berat total 14.030 Kg dan nilai jual Rp. 448.377.800,- Rata-rata biaya operasional yangdibutuhkan setiap kapal penangkap ikan tuna dalam satu trip penangkapan adalah sebesarRp.9.044.500,- Rata-rata pendapatan nelayan ikan tuna di PPI Oeba bulan Juni 2018 untuk PemilikKapal adalah sebesar Rp.23.501.363,- untuk Nahkoda sebesar Rp.6.259.846,- dan untuk ABK sebesarRp.3.131.262,- Nelayan dalam usaha penangkapan ikan Tuna telah melakukan langkah-langkahpenanganan ikan Tuna di atas kapal untuk menghindari kerusakan ikan dan berusaha memenuhikualitas ekspor.Disarankan Peningkatan kualitas hasil tangkapan harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan jumlah ikantuna berkualitas ekspor untuk meningkatkan total penerimaan penjualan ikan yang akan berpengaruhterhadap pendapatan bersih nelaya
Analysis of Marketing Mix on Purchase Decision of Softboned-Milkfish “Mrs. Jeni” in Malang City of East Java
SMEs Softboned-Milkfish (called as Bandeng Presto) “Bu Jeni” is one of SMEs of fish product in Malang City. This research conducted to determine and analyze the effect of the marketing mix and marketing mix variables that have a dominant influence on purchase decisions of Softboned-Milkfish “Bu Jeni”. Research method using quantitative descriptive research. Type of data used are primary and secondary data. Determination of the number of samples using the linear time function method and the sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The method of collecting data is observations, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Research variables used consist of independent variables including product, price, place, and promotion, as well as the dependent variable is the purchase decision. Methods of data analysis using the instrument test data, the classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The research result available to the regression equation Y = 2,695 + 0,535X1 + 0,223X2 + 0,467X3 + 0,183X4 + e. Simultaneously, the independent variables be used to real a significant effect together on the dependent variable. Partially, the independent variables have significant effect individually on the purchasing decision are product and place, while the other variables that price and promotion have no significant effect on purchasing decisions. The product strategy is the dominant variable determine the purchasing decisions
An Analysis Of Students' Grammatical Errors In Indonesian-english Translation
The purpose of this research is to find out the grammatical errors most frequently made by the fifth semester students of English Education Study Program, regular A, at Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Tanjungpura University in academic year 2013/2014 in their Indonesian – English translation. The research method used in this reseach was descriptive study. The descriptive study was used to describe and find out the errors especially error in using noun phrase, verb phrase, adjective phrase, and adverb phrase that mostly made by the fifth semester students in their Indonesian – English translation. The sample of this research was 36 students. The result of this study showed there were about 222 errors in student's translation. The numbers of error in noun phrase was 122 (54.95%), verb phrase was 89 (40.09%), adjective phrase was 11 (4.96%), and adverb phrase was zero. Based on that calculation, the most frequency error made by the students was error in noun phrase. Keywords : Grammatical Errors, Translation, Phrase
Manajemen Montir Dalam Perbaikan Mesin Berdasarkan Simulasi Discrete-Event (Studi Kasus: PT. ISTW Semarang)
Untuk meningkatkan performansi sistem produksi, diperlukan adanya sistem perawatan mesin-mesin produksi yang baik. Perawatan dikelompokkan menjadi preventive maintenance dan corrctive maintenance. Perawatan preventive dilakukan secara berkala untuk memperpanjang umur mesin dan juga untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan mesin produksi ketika digunakan. Sedangkan perawatan korektif dilakukan hanya pada saat mesin produksi mengalami kerusakan. Dalam Kenyataan, mesin produksi mengalami kerusakan pada saat proses produksi berlangsung meski telah dilakukan perawatan preventive pada mesin tersebut. Untuk kerusakan seperti itu diperlukan corrective maintenance agar proses produksi tidak terhenti terlalu lama. Peran montir sangat penting untuk menangani kerusakan mesin dalam corretive maintenance. Penelitian ini menyajikan suatu model simulasi yang menggambarkan beberapa cara mengelola montir, yatu dalam penugasan montir. Cara yang pertama adalah penugasan montir tanpa memperhatikan prioritas kerusakan dan banyaknya montir yang dialokasikan sama untuk setiap kerusakan. Cara kedua adalah penugasan montir dengan memperhatikan prioritas kerusakan dan banyaknya montir sama untuk setiap kerusakan. Cara ketiga adalah penugasan montir dengan memperhatikan prioritas kerusakan dan alokasi montir yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat kerusakan yang akan diperbaiki. Dari analisa output, cara pertama penugasan montir memberikan hasil banyaknya pipa baja yang dihasilkan adalah 343.308 batang pipa. Cara penugasan kedua memberikan hasil sebanyak 345.614 batang pipa. Cara penugasan ketiga hasil memberikan hasil sebanyak 353.263 batang pipa baja
Model Simulasi Pengalokasian Jumlah Montir Perawatan Mesin Di PT. Istw Semarang
Untuk meningkatkan performansi sistem produksi maka diperlukan adanya sistem perawatan yang baik untuk mesin-mesin produksi. Sehingga kemungkinan terjadinya kerusakan mesin pada saat proses produksi berlangsung dapat ditekan seminimal mungkin. Perawatan dapat dibagi menjadi 2 macam, yaitu perawatan jenis preventive dan perawatan korektif. Perawatan preventive dilakukan secara berkala untuk memperpanjang umur mesin dan juga untuk mencegah terjadinya breakdown pada mesin produksi pada saat sedang digunakan. Sedangkan perawatan korektif dilakukan hanya pada saat mesin produksi mengalami kerusakan. Dalam Kenyataannya, terkadang mesin produksi tetap akan mengalami breakdown pada saat proses produksi berlangsung meskipun telah dilakukan perawatan preventive pada mesin tersebut. Untuk kerusakan seperti itu diperlukan penanganan secepatnya agar proses produksi tidak terhenti terlalu. Peran montir sangat penting untuk menangani breakdown mesin. Dengan adanya sistem perbaikan yang baik maka mesin produksi dapat segera diperbaiki dan kerugian karena kerusakan mesin dapat dikurangi. Penelitian ini menyajikan suatu model simulasi yang menggambarkan beberapa sistem penugasan montir.
