DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICS MODULE BASED ON THE SCIENTIFIC APPROACH ON SET MATERIAL FOR CLASS VII
Limitations of learning materials is a problem that affects the achievement of learning objectives. Materials that are difficult to understand. Materials that can help students learn actively and independently is a module. This research aims to develop, test the module's feasibility, and know the student response to the development of a mathematics module based on a scientific approach to the set material. The type of research conducted is development research. The subject of research of development mathematics module is material expert, media expert, and some student of SMP Negeri 1 Banguntapan and SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Godean. The object of this research is learning module of mathematics based scientific approach in the material of set for the student of SMP/MTs class VII. The data collection techniques are based on the questionnaire and interviews. The analysis used is quantitative descriptive. The research result shows material expert gives that score of ratings had an average score of 116,67 in perfect criteria score by media expert had an average score of 129 in perfect criteria, and the result of the student response against the module shows that quality module is very good with an average score of 130,80. Based on the calculation, the mathematics module is developed can be used in learning mathematics
Teaching Materials based on Reciprocal Teaching to Improve Mathematical Communication Skills
The most significant concern in teaching mathematical concepts is developing and improving mathematical communication skills. However, the reality reveals that communication skills possessed by students are still relatively low. This causes students’ difficulty in understanding the material, solving problems, and conveying mathematical ideas both in oral or written form. Furthermore, students’ teaching material is not adequate to support the expected learning goals. It creates students’ difficulty in understanding the materials and it doesn’t integrate mathematical communication skills. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of mathematics module based on reciprocal teaching to improve students' mathematical communication skills. This is a research development that employs Four-D model. Subjects of the study are the teachers and the seventh grade Junior High School. In collecting the data, the researchers employ observation, interviews, questionnaires, and mathematical communication skills test. The results show that teaching material in the form of module that is assessed by experts has reached excellent criteria in terms of material and media. The module is also practically used by students and teachers in the learning process. It means, module based on reciprocal teaching can improve students' mathematical communication skill
Strengths and Limitations of SmallTalk2Me App in English Language Proficiency Evaluation
This paper explores the strengths and limitations of the SmallTalk2Me App, an AI-driven language assessment tool, in evaluating English language proficiency. The study adopts a mixed-method approach, combining interviews with three experienced English teachers and a comprehensive literature review to provide a comprehensive analysis of the app's performance. The research begins with an exploration of the app's strengths, which include its objective and consistent evaluation metrics. The app's automated nature ensures that all test takers are assessed based on the same predefined criteria, reducing human bias and enhancing the reliability of evaluations. Also, it offers immediate feedback, allowing learners to identify their areas of improvement promptly and adapt their learning strategies accordingly. Conversely, the limitations of the SmallTalk2Me App are also discussed. One notable limitation is the challenge of replicating the complexity of real-life communication contexts. App-based assessments may not fully capture the intricacies of natural conversations. Additionally, the app's pronunciation assessment may struggle with accurately recognizing variations in accents and speech patterns, leading to potential inaccuracies in pronunciation evaluation. The insights from the interviews and literature review contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the app's performance, offering valuable implications for its effective use in language teaching and learning settings
The Influence Of School Operational Assistance (Bos) Funds On The Optimization Of The Teaching And Learning Process At Pisangsambo 1 Tirtajaya State Primary School
This study aims to determine how much influence School Operational Assistance Funds have on Optimizing the Teaching and Learning Process and Cultural Heritage Can Be Saved at SDN Pisangsambo 1 Tirtajaya. The research method used is descriptive verification method by collecting data through field studies, questionnaires and literature study. In this research, the sample used was 32 teachers at SDN Pisangsambo 1 Tirtajaya. Based on the research results, it was obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.430 which stated that the influence of BOS funds on optimizing the teaching and learning process of Cultural Heritage Can Be Saved at SDN Pisangsambo 1 is categorized as moderate because it is in the range of 0.40-0.599. The results of the t hypothesis test show that the amount of t count to t table is 2.612 > t table 1.697 which means that there is an influence between BOS funds on optimizing the teaching and learning process by saving culture. Based on the results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination, an R square of 18.5% is obtained, which means that the optimization of the teaching and learning process at SDN Pisangsambo 1 is influenced by BOS funds of 18.5%. The obstacles that occurred at SDN Pisangsambo 1 Tirtajaya were the lack of optimal communication received and the lack of knowledge of the recipients of BOS funds, which hampered the process of managing BOS funds implemented in the school. The suggested solution for schools is to increase effective two-way communication between the school and teachers and to disseminate knowledge about the management of BOS funds more intensely so that it can run well and systematically. Providing appropriate BOS can motivate schools to improve the quality of school education
ANALISIS SURVIVAL DENGAN COX PROPORTIONAL HAZARD PADA KASUS DEMAM TIFOID
A common problem found in survival data is the presence of censored data. The length of hospitalization of Typhoid fever patients until declared cured is one of example of this data. Here, we use Cox regression model to analysis this data. Partial likelihood is one of the methods of estimating parameters for Cox regression model. In many cases of censored data, two objects (patients) have the same length of hospitalization (ties). Therefore, to estimate the parameters of the model must use the right method. Here we used partial likelihood Breslow, Efron, and Exact methods. The study was motivated by how the three methods performed for Cox regression model. The data used for the implementation of these methods is length of hospitalization of Typhoid fever patients at Mekar Sari Hospital-Bekasi in 2020. Based on AIC criteria, we found that exact method is the best model (minimum AIC) for parameter estimation of Cox regression model. Referring to the Cox regression model by using a significance level of 10%, there are five predictor variables that affects the length of patient hospitalization. The five variables are age, vomiting, dirty tongue, hemoglobin, and leukocyte.

Implementation of Punishment of Student Discipline to Foster A Sense of Love For Memorization of The Qur'an
Discipline is one of the attitudes that one needs to maintain in order to achieve a superior human resource. A punishment needs to be done considering that it is the right step to give a deterrent effect or resuscitate everything in order to get back on track. The importance of choosing punishment in order to have a good influence and has many benefits compared to just being a punishment instrument on someone. So, this research was conducted aimed at analyzing the discipline of students and the influence of punishment in the form of memorizing Qur'anic verses against love in the Qur'an. This research uses qualitative methods with field research types. Technical in the data analyzer in this study is the reduction of data presentation data and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that discipline becomes more increased because punishment in the form of qur'anic verses can also be used as a guideline for reminders of discipline. In addition, this punishment can also increase the love of the Qur'an. This study concludes that the punishment of memorization of the Qur'an for students who arrive late has differences with punishments in other schools. The reason why his punishment memorizes the Qur'an is because the Qur'an is the main guideline for a Muslim in pursuing his life path
