Stack-run adaptive wavelet image compression

We report on the development of an adaptive wavelet image coder based on stack-run representation of the quantized coefficients. The coder works by selecting an optimal wavelet packet basis for the given image and encoding the quantization indices for significant coefficients and zero runs between coefficients using a 4-ary arithmetic coder. Due to the fact that our coder exploits the redundancies present within individual subbands, its addressing complexity is much lower than that of the wavelet zerotree coding algorithms. Experimental results show coding gains of up to 1:4dB over the benchmark wavelet coding algorithm

The Induction and Evaluation of Productive Semidwarf Mutants of Basmati-370

Dry, uniform seeds of Basmati 370 with about 14% moisture content were exposed to 0, 15,20 and 25kR doses of gamma rays (60Co source). Twenty one semi-dwarf mutants were selected from 36,000 M2 plants originating from about 12,000 Ml plants. The breeding behaviour of these mutants was studied in M3 and consequently 6 mutants were selected. The comparative yield test of mutants with mother cultivar Basmati-370, established the high yield potential and semi-dwarf plant posture of mutant strains. The other plant attributes as well as physico-chemical traits of the mutants and parent cultivar are also presented

Analisis Pengukuran Kinerja Perusahaan Dengan Metode Pendekatan Balanced Scorecard (Studi Kasus Pada Koperasi Simpan Pinjam (Ksp) Lohjinawe Rembang)

Performance measurement is used to determine the achievement of corporate objectives of the business unit performance by evaluating the achievement of results that have been achieved through the strategy set. Cooperative is an organization that puts the interests and welfare of members in the central position of the overall activities of cooperatives, in reality, many cooperatives in activities focused on financial factors, including KSP Lohjinawe Rembang. So that the customer and the employees a little neglected. Balanced Scorecard concept is here to help companies determine the extent to which the achievement of performance through four perspectives. This research is qualitative descriptive analysis. Source data used are primary data by questionnaire and in-depth interview to determine the assessment of the translation of the vision, mission and objectives of the company through target setting and weight to key performance indicator (KPI). Secondary data such as financial statements, the development of number of employees and branches of cooperatives in 2013-2015. Performance results are in a healthy position overall with a total score of 92.42 (standard wells 80 <x <100). Obtaining a score on four perspectives that are tailored to the weight of the Balanced Scorecard, financial perspective score was 55.32 (target 60), in the perspective of the customer (member) with a score of 18.25 (target 20), the internal business process perspective score was 10.42 ( target 10) and the last on learning and growth perspective score was 8.24 (target 10). The best performance was in the business process perspective that is able to exceed the target by the achievement of 104.19%. On the financial perspective and the customer perspective attainment results are equally amounted to 92.2%. While learning and growth perspective obtain the lowest achievement results with the percentage of 82.35%

Studi Eksperimen Pengaruh Dimensi Pipa Kapiler pada Sistem Air Conditioning dengan Pre-Cooling

Penggunaan air conditioner semakin banyak digunakan pada kehidupan sehari-hari diiringi dengan harga jual energi yang semakin mahal. Pada studi eksperimen kali ini mencoba mengoptimalisasi dan menigkatkan efisiensi energi pada sistem air conditioner dengan cara menambahkan satu buah evaporator dan satu buah pre-cooling, dimana pre-cooling dimanfaatkan untuk memanaskan air yang nantinya akan digunakan untuk keperluan rumah tangga. Pada sistem pengkondisian udara yang telah dimodifikasi tersebut maka dilakukan studi eksperimen dengan variasi panjang pipa kapiler, diameter pipa kapiler d=0,054 in, dengan panjang kapiler 1 = 35 cm, kapiler 2 = 65 cm, kapiler 3 = 95 cm. Hasil yang didapat dari studi eksperimen kali ini adalah semakin bertambahnya panjang pipa kapiler, kapasitas pendinginan evaporator, kerja kompresor dan COP dari sistem juga akan semakin kecil dan juga mengakibatkan temperatur masuk evaporator akan semakin kecil, yang akan mengakibatkan efek pendinginan akan semakin besar. Pada variasi pipa kapiler terpendek 35 cm menghasilkan data kapasitas pendinginan total sebesar 2,25 kW, kerja kompresor 0,433 kW, temperatur masuk evaporator 7,26°C, COP sebesar 5,21 dan HRR sebesar 1,16. Sedangkan pada variasi pipa kapiler terpanjang 95 cm kapasitas pendinginan total sebesar 0,72 kW, kerja kompresor 0,332 kW, temperatur masuk evaporator 1,64°C, COP sebesar 4,35 dan HRR sebesar 1,26

ECommerce is a form of technology and communication using the internet as a means of business activity, both locally and globally. In USAge, a country must prepare an infrastructure that can support the business activities instead of eCommerce. eReadiness become an assessment or a benchmark to measure how well the country's infrastructure of technology and communicatio. A country readiness and awareness against the growth of technology and communication could be the key to eCommerce growth. Along with technology and communications growth, internet USAge can change the way people communicate. This phenomenon's called eSociety, the community of internet users who use information and communication technologies in order to achieve common goals and interests. eSociety fosters relationship competition and change the value of a life style and a need for an item or service. The coefficient of correlation between eReadiness and eCommerce is 0.880 and coefficient of correlation between eSociety and Commerce is 0.901. Those result means there is a strong, significant and direct relation between eReadiness and International trade using eCommerce. Same result also shown between eSociety and International trade using eCommerce in Indonesia
