    Student of Nursing Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health Science Soedirman University use internet facility as source of information, communication and entertainment. Nursing student used facility internet both for made available in faculty and also outside faculty. Internet Library of Nursing Program has amounting to 20 computers, all of computers use the processor pentium 4. This facility subscribe to the journal of proquest and ebsco by providing about 600 journals. According to the survey research, the librarian said that there are approximately 40 – 60 students per day using internet. However it cannot be seen yet how its effectiveness is.The aim of this study is to describe the benefit of USAge of internet facility to support learning teaching process. This Research is explorative descriptive qualitative. Subject of this research is student nurses. Collecting data use in depth interview, focus group discussion and documentation study toward visit book of internet facility in Nursing Program Soedirman University Documentation study toward visit book of internet facility in Nursing Program library of Soedirman University on 1 May until 28 June 2007 show that almost the visitor in internet facility are nursing students. Web browser and e-mail are internet facility that are often accessed. Yahoo and Google is the most popular website around nursing student. Internet has role in accomplishment of learning tasks. Nevertheless internet less influence students to do the access faster and to collect task if they get tasks. The USAge of internet its felt efficient on time because in looking information is getting faster. But less efficient on cost, because it must spent a lot cost. Generally nursing students feel satisfy to use the internet to look for the information because a lot of information can be got there. Most of students do access internet minim once a week. Although in the beginning they get difficulty to use the internet, they become easier than, because they often access internet.     Dalam praktek keperawatan, komunikasi adalah suatu alat yang penting untuk membina hubungan terapeutik dan dapat mempengaruhi kualitas pelayanan keperawatan. Lebih jauh, komunikasi sangat penting karena dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan kesehatan yang diberikan. Dilain sisi, penyebab sumber ketidakpuasan pasien sering disebabkan karena jeleknya komunikasi yang terjadi dengan pasien. Oleh karena itu pengukuran kepuasan pasien terhadap komunikasi terapeutik perawat akan bermanfaat dalam memonitor dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan, khususnya untuk meningkatkan pelayanan keperawatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi persepsi pasien terrhadap kemampuan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal perawat, tingkat kepuasan pasien terhadap komunikasi keperawatan, dan tingkat kepuasan pasien terhadap komunikasi keperawatan berdasarkan kelompok demografis (gender, umur, dan tingkat pendidikan). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, Prov. Jawa Tengah. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 242 pasien yang dirawat di bangsal bedah dalam (n = 242). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang tidak efektif masih terjadi dalam praktik perawat sehari-hari di Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Namun, mayoritas pasien merasa puas terhadap percakapan yang mereka lakukan dengan perawat. Berdasarkan kelompok demografis, pasien perempuan cenderung merasa lebih puas dibandingkan pasien pria terhadap komunikasi keperawatan, pasien yang lebih tua memberikan respon kepuasan yang lebih dibanding pasien muda, dan pasien dengan pendidikan rendah cenderung memberikan respon yang positif dalam berkomunikasi dengan perawa

    Therapeutic communication is very important to construct the therapeutic relation of nursepatient and influences the improvement of quality of treatment service. Success of terapeutik communication is influenced by some factors such as lack of nurse's knowledge and ability to apply the therapeutic communication. The purpose of this study was to know the relationship between knowledge of therapeutic communication towards the nurse's communication ability in implementing the treatment upbringing in Elisabeth Hospital Purwokerto. The descriptive Research type of correlation. Population research is all nurses in Maria lodge of Elisabeth Hospital Purwokerto in the amount of 26 people, The research sample is taken from 23 people in according to the inclusive criteria. Data analysis method uses the distribution of frequency and statistic test "Spearman Rank". Result of research: Respondens of DIII in nursing are as much as 15 people (65,2%) and responders, who have education of SPK are as much as 8 people (34,8%). Responders, who have followed the training of therapeutic communication, are 18 people (78,3%) and 5 people (21,7%) not yet followed the training. The grade of knowledge about terapeutik communication is in good enough category (52,2%) and the least is in the unfavorable category (8.7%). The ability of therapeutic communication is in the good enough category (56,5%) and the least is in the unfavorable category (4,3%). The obtained result of statistic test using Spearman's rho is 0,636 and p 0,001. Conclusion: Most of the nurses are of DIII treatment and have followed the training of therapeutic communication. Nurses' knowledge and ability of therapeutic communication are in good enough category. There is a meaningful relation between knowledge of therapeutic communication and ability of therapeutic communication of the Elisabeth hospital nurses in implementing the treatment up bringing (p= 0,001). The strength of relation between the knowledge of therapeutic communication and ability of nurse's therapeutic communication Ni implementing/doing the treatment upbringing is in strong category (Spearman's rho 0,636)

    Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Berpengaruh Terhadap Kejadian Plebitis Di RSUD Purbalingga

    Latar Belakang. Terapi intravena (IV) adalah salah satu teknologi yang paling sering digunakan dalam pelayanan kesehatan di seluruh dunia. Lebih dari 60% pasien yang masuk ke rumah sakit mendapat terapi melalui IV. Berkaitan dengan terapi IV ini, maka telah diidentifikasi suatu masalah keperawatan yang sering dijumpai yaitu terjadinya plebitis dan ekstravasasi vena. Untuk meminimalkan resiko infeksi, perawat perlu menyadari dan mengenali lebih jauh faktor-faktor apa saja yang dominan berkontribusi terhadap kejadian plebitis. Tujuan Penelitian. Tujuam penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kejadian plebitis, untuk membuktikan faktor yang paling dominan berpengaruh terhadap kejadian plebitis dan untuk mengetahui jumlah (prosentase) kejadian plebitis di RSUD Purbalingga. Metode Penelitian. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua pasien yang dilakukan tindakan terapi IV. Sampel penelitian diambil secara purposive sampling selama 3 bulan dengan kriteria inklusi : pasien dewasa, minimal 3 hari perawatan. Pasien tersebut akan diobservasi secara prospektif dengan menggunakan pedoman observasi yang telah dipersiapkan. Data dianalisa dengan uji chi square untuk melihat kontribusi dari faktor pendukung terjadinya plebitis, dilanjutkan uji regresi logistik untuk mengetahui faktor yang berkontribusi paling dominan terhadap kejadian plebitis.     Communication is a basic of a nursing care process. Communication is therefore very important because it could influence the level of patient satisfaction with health care services, increase of adaptation during hospitalisation, increase of adaptation for doing task that can cause a stress, decrease of pain, and accelarate of recovery. On the other hand, poor of communication is a main source of patient dissatisfaction. This research was conducted to know the description of nursing therapeutic communication and social communication practice by the nurses at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital of Purwokerto. This study utilized a descriptive method with quantitative approach. The population of this study were all nurses at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarja Hospital of Purwokerto. The respondents were nurses who did a communication with patients on medical and surgical wards at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital of Purwokerto. The sampling method was done by quota sampling. The analysis of data was conducted by using the descriptive analysis. The study result shows that all techniques of nursing therapeutic communication were utilised by the nurses in caring the patients. The most often technique of therapeutic communication that is utilised by nurses are silent technique with frequency 150 (22,6%). While the technique of therapeutic communication that fewest utilized by nurses are reflection with frequency 12 (1,8%). Hereinafter, for the frequency of communication that can be seen according to shift work nurse can be concluded that morning shift show biggest communications frequency that is 243 times ( 36,4%) caught up with noon shift equal to 234 times (35%) , and at least for the shift of night equal to 191 times ( 28,6%). Other side, social communications which used by nurse in caring the patients consist of social discussion, family discussion, child concern discussion, vacation concern discussion, discussion concerning happiness/gladness and giving advise. Overall of social communications were most utilized by nurse in caring the patients are giving advise with amount 114 ( 37,9%). While the fewest social communications that used by nurse in caring the patients is personal discussion with amount 1 ( 0,3%). According to shift work nurse, the most social communications frequency that used is in the mornings shift that amount 111 ( 36,9 %) and the fewest is at noon shift counted 90 ( 29,9%). Conclusion of research can be descripted that all therapeutic communications technique were utilized by nurse in caring the patients and the most often technique of therapeutic communication that is utilised by nurses are silent technique and also which is the fewest technique that used by nurse is reflection technique.
