La Influencia de la Motivación Laboral en los Trabajadores del Comisariato Policía Nacional del departamento de Matagalpa. Año 2013
En la presente investigación se estudió la influencia de la motivación laboral en los trabajadores del Comisariato Policía Nacional del departamento de Matagalpa, durante el Año 2013, esto con el propósito de analizar la influencia de la motivación laboral de los trabajadores.
Dicho estudio es de gran importancia, porque a través de éste, permitirá al lector interesado en el tema, tomar en consideración las técnicas y factores que influyen en una motivación aceptable para los empleados de las instituciones presentes en el departamento de Matagalpa y principalmente a los trabajadores del Comisariato.
Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que el comisariato cuenta con ciertos elementos de la motivación aplicado a sus empleados como: el dinero, calidad de vida laboral, enriquecimiento del puesto y participación en ciertas ocasiones, pero es necesario aun mejorarlos debido a que no existe una constante aplicación de un sistema de motivación adecuado que abarque a todos los empleados de la organización, generándoles satisfacción a todos.
Como parte de la influencia de la motivación laboral en los trabajadores estos elementos son considerados de importancia y necesarias de su aplicación, con esto se podría mejorar, a través de una buena estrategia se llegaría a satisfacer las necesidades y se obtendría un personal motivado.
Es por ello que es necesario que la dirección administrativa del comisariato establezca mejores técnicas motivacionales y factores que lo conlleven a tener personal satisfecho con alto nivel de la motivación que permitirá la ejecución de actividades con eficiencia y eficaci
A construção da excelencia nos processos de avaliação da pesquisa : a Comision Sectorial de Investigacion Cientifica da Universidad de la Republica, Uruguai

VelhoDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de GeocienciasResumo: O objetivo central deste trabalho é fazer uma análise do significado da excelência no âmbito dos processos de avaliação da ciência levados a efeito nas agências de fomento à investigação. A discussão é realizada a partir da experiência de uma situação institucional específica: a Comisión Sectorial de Investigación Científica -CSIC- da Universidad de Ia República de Uruguai, com base em documentos, dados quantitativos e entrevistas com integrantes da Comissão e de suas subcomissões, participantes dos seus mecanismos de avaliação, dos processos decisórios e das políticas implementadas. O trabalho explora as diferentes facetas do conceito através de uma abordagem sociológica, que permite veicular uma análise crítica da avaliação por pares da atividade científica. Sendo uma formulação possível da pergunta principal: como se constroem os critérios de excelência científica?, apresentam-se resultados de pesquisa que são tratados como evidências de que a excelência é socialmente construida em processos de negociação, específicos de cada contexto histórico particular. Ela não é um conceito abstrato nem tem existência independente do contexto de sua construção. Tenta-se identificar as formas pelas quais a excelência incorpora na sua constituição as contingências do momento e do lugar onde é construída pelos participantes do processo: o locus da avaliação da pesquisa. Discutem-se algumas características da operacionalização da avaliação, distinguindo vários momentos do processo: a escolha dos pares, a atuação dos mesmos e a tomada de decisão da Comissão. Neles identificam-se as vinculações da excelência com o lugar da pesquisa e o lugar da avaliação; com o conhecimento do parecerista do contexto que envolve a proposta e os seus valores e formação intelectual; e com as contingências do processo de negociação até à resolução final. A geração de um acordo a respeito da qualidade de um projeto é geralmente rápida entre os integrantes dos organismos. São eles que determinam a excelência de cada proposta; obtêm os consensos a respeito das linhas de pesquisa. dos objetivos e das metodologias adequadas; decidem os caminhos que deve seguir a ciência local no seu conjunto. Os mecanismos de julgamento parecem ser chaves na construção de consensos, e de grande importância no desenvolvimento da ciência e na sua relação com a sociedade. Na arena de negociação que vincula a atividade científica e os recursos financeiros também se dá forma à direção e ao conteúdo da ciência. Os projetos e pesquisadores financiados têm possibilidades de atingir consensos em relação a algumas 'realidades' ou 'verdades' determinadas; as outras possíveis não chegam a existir, pelo fato de não serem financiadas. As grandes linhas das disciplinas são em parte definidas nesse processo de financiamentoAbstract: This study aims to analyze the concept of exceIlence within the process of evaluation of scientific activities. We locate this discussion on the research funding agency of the Universidad de Ia República, Uruguay: the Sectoral Commission for Scientific Investigation -CSIC-. Based on quantitative data and on face-to-face interviews with university officials, the study attemps to explore how research evaluation criteria are locally constructed by participants. ExceIlence is not an abstract concept; it does not exist independently or without reference to local contexts and circumstances. We try to identify the ways by wich exceIlence incorporates the contingencies of the evaluation process, in their various moments: peer selection, peer evaluation and final decision making. The program officials determine the proposals' exceIlence; they reach consensus about research trends, adequate objectives and methodologies; they decide the direction ofthe local scientific activity. Peer review mecanisms are key pieces in the construction of consensus as weIl as in the ways science relates with society. The negotiation arena that forms a bridge between the scientific activity and the world of resources allocation simultaneously shape the directions and the content of science. The funded projects are the ones with possibilities to reach agreements about what is 'real' or 'true'. The rejected ones represent 'realities' wich wiIl never exist only becaause they did not get funds. Mental health of resident physicians at a hospital in Lima Metropolitana after the end of the public health emergency of COVID 19 pandemic
Introducción: La salud mental en la población es variable según la coyuntura social que se viva, y el personal de salud no es la excepción; estamos viviendo una pandemia por COVID-19 y esto influye negativamente en la salud mental del personal médico y la población en general. Objetivos: Describir el estado de la salud mental de los residentes que ejercieron labor asistencial tras el levantamiento del estado de emergencia. Métodos: Estudio de tipo descriptivo transversal correlacional. Se incluyo a 216 médicos residentes que ejercieron labor asistencial tras el levantamiento del estado de emergencia de un total de 615. Se utilizó los cuestionarios GAD-7, cuestionario PHQ-9 y cuestionario EIE-R; para ansiedad, depresión y estrés respectivamente. Resultados: Se obtuvo una prevalencia de enfermedad para ansiedad del 50.9%, depresión del 50.9% y estrés del 70.4%, así mismo, el 43.5% presentan una ansiedad leve, 7.5% entre moderada y severa; por otro lado, el 33.3% presentan depresión leve y 17.6% entre moderada y severa, mientras que, el 38.0% presentan TEPT parcial, el 25.9% con probable diagnóstico de TEPT y sólo un 6.5% sintomatología de TEPT severa. Conclusiones: Se encuentra una alta prevalencia de los trastornos, lo que concuerda con la encontrada en otros estudios. A su vez, no se encontró una relación estadísticamente significativa para aseverar una posible relación entre los trastornos o los niveles de los mismas con las características demográficas descritas.Background: The mental health in the population varies according to the social context, this is not different in health personnel; we are now in the middle of COVID-19 Pandemic, and this has a negative impact in the mental health of health personnel and the general population. Objective: Describe the mental health among residents in a public hospital after the end of the public health emergency of COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive correlational study. We include 216 medical residents that had care work after the end of the public health emergency of a total of 615 residents. The GAD-7, PHQ-9 questionnaires and the IES-R scale were utilized to address anxiety, depression and distress respectively. Results: Regarding prevalence of mental health symptoms, it was found that 50.9% of interviewed residents had anxiety symptoms, 50.9% had depression symptoms and 70.4% suffer from distress symptoms. Moreover, 43.5% presented mild, 5.6% moderate and 1.9% severe anxiety; on the other hand, 33.3% presented mild depression and 17.6% between moderate and severe, while 38.0% presented partial PTSD, 25.9% with a probable diagnosis of PTSD and only 6.5% with severe PTSD symptomatology. Conclusions: A high prevalence of anxiety, depression and distress symptoms were found between medical residents. This matches with other revised studies. To conclude, no statistical significant relation was found between the presence of mental health disorder symptoms or their levels and the sociodemographic characteristics of medical residents
Characterization and expression analysis of WRKY genes during leaf and corolla senescence of Petunia hybrida plants
Several families of transcription factors (TFs) control the progression of senescence. Many key TFs belonging to the WRKY family have been described to play crucial roles in the regulation of leaf senescence, mainly in Arabidopsis thaliana. However, little is known about senescence-associated WRKY members in floricultural species. Delay of senescence in leaves and petals of Petunia hybrida, a worldwide ornamental crop are highly appreciated traits. In this work, starting from 28 differentially expressed WRKY genes of A. thaliana during the progression of leaf senescence, we identified the orthologous in P. hybrida and explored the expression profiles of 20 PhWRKY genes during the progression of natural (age-related) leaf and corolla senescence as well as in the corollas of flowers undergoing pollination-induced senescence. Simultaneous visualization showed consistent and similar expression profiles of PhWRKYs during natural leaf and corolla senescence, although weak expression changes were observed during pollination-induced senescence. Comparable expression trends between PhWRKYs and the corresponding genes of A. thaliana were observed during leaf senescence, although more divergence was found in petals of pollinated petunia flowers. Integration of expression data with phylogenetics, conserved motif and cis-regulatory element analyses were used to establish a list of candidates that could regulate more than one senescence process. Our results suggest that several members of the WRKY family of TFs are tightly linked to the regulation of senescence in P. hybrida.Fil: Astigueta, Francisco Horacio. Evolution and epidemic spread of SARS-CoV-2 in Brazil
Brazil currently has one of the fastest-growing severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) epidemics in the world. Because of limited available data, assessments of the impact of nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) on this virus spread remain challenging. Using a mobility-driven transmission model, we show that NPIs reduced the reproduction number from >3 to 1 to 1.6 in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Sequencing of 427 new genomes and analysis of a geographically representative genomic dataset identified >100 international virus introductions in Brazil. We estimate that most (76%) of the Brazilian strains fell in three clades that were introduced from Europe between 22 February and 11 March 2020. During the early epidemic phase, we found that SARS-CoV-2 spread mostly locally and within state borders. After this period, despite sharp decreases in air travel, we estimated multiple exportations from large urban centers that coincided with a 25% increase in average traveled distances in national flights. This study sheds new light on the epidemic transmission and evolutionary trajectories of SARS-CoV-2 lineages in Brazil and provides evidence that current interventions remain insufficient to keep virus transmission under control in this country
Identifying delays in healthcare seeking and provision: The Three Delays-in-Healthcare and mortality among infants and children aged 1–59 months
Delays in illness recognition, healthcare seeking, and in the provision of appropriate clinical care are common in resource-limited settings. Our objective was to determine the frequency of delays in the “Three Delays-in-Healthcare”, and factors associated with delays, among deceased infants and children in seven countries with high childhood mortality. We conducted a retrospective, descriptive study using data from verbal autopsies and medical records for infants and children aged 1–59 months who died between December 2016 and February 2022 in six sites in sub-Saharan Africa and one in South Asia (Bangladesh) and were enrolled in Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS). Delays in 1) illness recognition in the home/decision to seek care, 2) transportation to healthcare facilities, and 3) the receipt of clinical care in healthcare facilities were categorized according to the “Three Delays-in-Healthcare”. Comparisons in factors associated with delays were made using Chi-square testing. Information was available for 1,326 deaths among infants and under 5 children. The majority had at least one identified delay (n = 854, 64%). Waiting >72 hours after illness recognition to seek health care (n = 422, 32%) was the most common delay. Challenges in obtaining transportation occurred infrequently when seeking care (n = 51, 4%). In healthcare facilities, prescribed medications were sometimes unavailable (n = 102, 8%). Deceased children aged 12–59 months experienced more delay than infants aged 1–11 months (68% vs. 61%, P = 0.018). Delays in seeking clinical care were common among deceased infants and children. Additional study to assess the frequency of delays in seeking clinical care and its provision among children who survive is warranted
