The phenomenon of women participation in entrepreneurship sector is rising significantly during the last decade. In reality, women still face many barriers in entrepreneurship both professionally and personally.  In 29 August 2019, Najwa Shihab delivered an inspiring keynote speech in Global Conference on Women and Entrepreneurship held by Alibaba and Lazada in Jakarta. Since Najwa Shihab's speech got many responses from the audiences, it is highly considerable to investigate the content of the speech from a linguistic point of view. This study aimed at analyzing the spoken text from Najwa Shihab’s speech through Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). For specific investigation, Appraisal framework was used in this study. The study focused on the attitude which relates to the feelings, emotion, reactions, and judgments of behaviour on Najwa Shihab’s speech about women and entrepreneurship. The design of the study was descriptive qualitative. The findings showed that the speech used 55 clauses which consisted of 27 clauses of affect (49%), 18 clauses of judgment (33%), and 10 clauses of appreciation (18%). All clause-complexes had attitudes. The use of affect dominated the percentage of attitudes. Furthermore, this speech also encouraged women to do 3 things: dare to change the paradigm of clichés and stereotypes into strength, dare to take a role in the national and global economy to ensure that women's voices and perspectives are present in every discussion and decision making, and support each other and bring the community that can empower other women

Kedua, seluruh responden menyatakan belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan teknik pembelajaran bahasa Inggris interaktif sehingga kompetensi mengajar bahasa Inggris mereka sangat perlu ditingkatkan.

The desire to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment is reflected in Indonesia as a mark of the country’s support for the global initiatives of the United Nations Millennium Declaration. In reality, the data shows that Indonesian women are still lagging compared to men in the education aspect. Hence, the values of gender education and women empowerment could be internalized in all subjects at school, one of them being English Language Teaching (ELT). This study aims at designing, developing, and adapting gender equality and women empowerment values into the mobile app for ELT for teaching descriptive text for 7th-grade students in Junior High Schools. This research implemented Research & Development which used interviews and questionnaires as the instruments. There were three stages applied in this research adopted from Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974) which were defined, designed, and develop. The result showed that the results of expert validation showed that this mobile app is feasible to be implemented. This research is a research and development that aims to produce children's story books based on religious moderation in order to develop language skills and to form a profile of Pancasila students in early childhood. This research started from the results of pre-research conducted through a survey which showed the fact that it was still rare to find references to teaching materials with special themes on religious moderation used in learning at Raudlatul Athfal. The research design uses the ADDIE model which consists of the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate stages. The results showed that the product development of children's storybooks based on religious moderation is valid and feasible for use in PAUD learning. Moreover, the result also shows that this book has a real contribution to developing language skills in teaching religious moderation and shaping the character of early childhood in accordance with the profile of Pancasila students
