This research was conducted to estimate the effect of import value, population, gross domestic product and exchange rate on the total volume of Indonesian wheat imports from the 5 largest wheat import partner countries in 2010-2020 using panel data regression with the fixed effect model (FEM) approach. The results showed that the exchange rate variable had a negative and significant effect on the total volume of wheat imports, while the value of imports, population and gross domestic product had no significant effect on the total import volume. The government is expected to be able to strive to develop wheat cultivation which can grow in tropical climates such as Indonesia by cooperating with experts and academics in the agricultural sector.
