Yang-Yang thermodynamics on an atom chip
We investigate the behavior of a weakly interacting nearly one-dimensional
(1D) trapped Bose gas at finite temperature. We perform in situ measurements of
spatial density profiles and show that they are very well described by a model
based on exact solutions obtained using the Yang-Yang thermodynamic formalism,
in a regime where other, approximate theoretical approaches fail. We use
Bose-gas focusing [Shvarchuck etal., Phys. Rev. Lett. 89, 270404 (2002)] to
probe the axial momentum distribution of the gas, and find good agreement with

Einstein-Yang-Mills from pure Yang-Mills amplitudes
We present new relations for scattering amplitudes of color ordered gluons
and gravitons in Einstein-Yang-Mills theory. Tree-level amplitudes of arbitrary
multiplicities and polarizations involving up to three gravitons and up to two
color traces are reduced to partial amplitudes of pure Yang-Mills theory. In
fact, the double-trace identities apply to Einstein-Yang-Mills extended by a
dilaton and a B-field. Our results generalize recent work of Stieberger and
Taylor for the single graviton case with a single color trace. As the
derivation is made in the dimension-agnostic Cachazo-He-Yuan formalism, our
results are valid for external bosons in any number of spacetime dimensions.
Moreover, they generalize to the superamplitudes in theories with 16

Darboux coordinates, Yang-Yang functional, and gauge theory
The moduli space of SL(2) flat connections on a punctured Riemann surface
with the fixed conjugacy classes of the monodromies around the punctures is
endowed with a system of holomorphic Darboux coordinates, in which the
generating function of the variety of SL(2)-opers is identified with the
universal part of the effective twisted superpotential of the corresponding
four dimensional N=2 supersymmetric theory subject to the two-dimensional
Omega-deformation. This allows to give a definition of the Yang-Yang
functionals for the quantum Hitchin system in terms of the classical geometry
of the moduli space of local systems for the dual gauge group, and connect it
to the instanton counting of the four dimensional gauge theories, in the rank

Topological Yang-Mills cohomology in pure Yang-Mills Theory
Using the first order formalism (BFYM) of the Yang-Mills theory we show that
it displays an embedded topological sector corresponding to the field content
of the Topological Yang-Mills theory (TYM). This picture arises after a proper
redefinition of the fields of BFYM and gives a clear representation of the non
perturbative part of the theory in terms of the topological sector. In this
setting the calculation of the of a YM observable is translated into the
calculation of a corresponding (non topological) quantity in TYM. We then
compare the topological observables of TYM with a similar set of observables
for BFYM and discuss the possibility of describing topological observables in

Yang-Mills Integrals
Two results are presented for reduced Yang-Mills integrals with different
symmetry groups and dimensions: the first is a compact integral representation
in terms of the relevant variables of the integral, the second is a method to
analytically evaluate the integrals in cases of low order. This is exhibited by
