    Project-based Learning to Raise Students\u27 Speaking Ability: Its\u27 Effect and Implementation (a Mix Method Research in Speaking II Subject at Stain Ponorogo)

    This research tries to attempt to know the effect of Project-based learning toward speaking ability and its\u27 effective implementation. The design of the research sequential was designs in which data that are collected and examined in one stage inform the data collected in the next phase. This research applied a quantitative design for the first stage. It is categorized into causal comparative method, or ex post facto research design and the second stage is qualitative design. Population in this research was the 2 STAIN Ponorogo. The total numbers of the students are 85 students and the sample was 70 students. The researcher used questionnaires, test, observation and interview as data collection. Since the hypothesis is intended to find the effect of the Project-Based Learning toward students\u27 speaking ability, the Simple Linier Regression by using SPSS 19.00 for Windows was applied. The second phase, the result of observation and interview were analyzed by Miles and Huberman\u27s view of qualitative data analysis consisting of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result of analysis showed that there was significant effect of Project-Based Learning toward students\u27 speaking ability. Moreover, the effective procedures for the implementation of Project-Based Learning are (a) dividing the class into group, (b) explaining the project and (c) performing the project. At last, the students showed significantly positive attitude toward the implementation of Project-Based Learning in speaking class. semester of English Department Students in STAIN Ponorogo.     PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X PADA KONSEP PENANGANAN LIMBAH

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap partisipasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X pada konsep penanganan limbah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan “one group pretest dan postest design”. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas X MIA 5 tahun ajaran 2013-2014. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berbentuk tes dan nontes, instrumen tes berupa soal objektif (pilihan ganda) 18 soal yang memenuhi kriteria hasil uji coba instrumen yaitu 16,6% mudah, 55,5% sedang dan 33,3% sukar. Instrumen tes diberikan pada saat pretest dan postest. Instrumen nontes berupa tabel skala sikap, lembar observasi psikomotor, lembar penilaian produk, angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi guru yang diberikan pada saat pembelajaran. Nilai rata-rata hasil pretest sebesar 50,98, rata-rata hasil postest 70,18 dengan peningkatan (N-gain) sebesar 0,41 dengan kriteria peningkatan sedang. Hasil penghitungan statistik untuk tes kognitif yang menggunakan uji t diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 9,27 > 2,567 maka hipotesis signifikan dengan tingkat kepercayaan 99% (0,01). Nilai aktivitas belajar siswa rata-rata 79,9% memiliki kriteria baik, aspek psikomotor siswa rata-rata 88,6% memiliki kriteria sangat baik, dan penilaian produk yang dibuat oleh siswa rata-rata 74% dengan kriteria baik. Respon siswa selama proses pembelajaran memiliki rata-rata 3,93 dengan kriteria sangat baik (positif) terhadap pembelajaran, sedangkan aktivitas guru selama melaksanakan pembelajaran memiliki rata-rata 91,85% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan partisipasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep penanganan limbah dengan kriteria peningkatan sedang. Penulis menyarankan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat digunakan pada materi yang lainnya, kemudia pada saat pembelajaran guru harus lebih menekankan materi pembelajaran yang bersangkutan kepada siswa, sehingga pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran tertentu akan lebih meningkat dengan baik.     Pengaruh Project Based Learning Berbantuan Multimedia terhadap Keterampilan Memecahkan Masalah dan Hasil Belajar Psikomotor Siswa Kelas XI SMA

    This study conducted a quasi-experiment to determine whether the PjBL can increase problem solving abilities and psychomotor skills of students. Data analysis was performed using SPSS obtained from the pretest and posttest students. Based on the results of the analysis, problem-solving skills of students experienced a significant increase of 15.17% with a corrected value of 58.12 in the control group and an increase of 31.27% with a corrected value of 68.65 in the experimental class. Psychomotor Skills students experienced a significant increase of 0.53% with a corrected value of 52.58 in the control group and 10.92% in the experimental class with a corrected value of 66.16.Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah PjBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah dan hasil belajar psikomotor siswa. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS yang diperoleh dari hasil pretes dan postes siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan, keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan sebesar 15,17% dengan nilai terkoreksi sebesar 58,01 pada kelas kontrol dan peningkatan sebesar 31,27% dengan nilai terkoreksi sebesar 68,65 pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil belajar psikomotor siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan sebesar 0,53% dengan nilai terkoreksi 52,58 pada kelas kontrol dan 10,92% pada kelas eksperimen dengan nilai terkoreksi sebesar 66,16

    Kenyataan menunjukkan pembelajaran IPA masih berfokus pada buku teks dan jarang menggunakan model pembelajaran yang bervariatif sehingga kreativitas dan penguasaan konsep siswa menjadi terbatas. Tujuan penelitian penerapan model PBL untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Swasta Kartika Siliwangi XIX-3 Kabupaten Garut, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 66 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 33 siswa. Analisis penelitian menggunakan N-Gain dan pengujian hipotesis rumus t-test dengan menggunanakan software SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelas ekspositori dengan perbandingan di kelas eksperimen N-Gain 0,472 kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol N-Gain 0,223 kategori rendah.Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan t-test hasinya dengan nilai sig 0.009< α yaitu 0,025 artinya ditolak maka terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen

    This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student's mathematics learning outcomes by applying Project Based Learning (PjBL). The subjects of this research are the student of class VII4 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015, which amounts to 19 students. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected through observation and learning outcomes test. Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student's mathematics learning outcomes data analysis. The action is successful if the scores of teacher's activities and student's activities increase in every meeting and the number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increases in every cycle. Scores of teacher's activities from the first to the sixth meeting are 93.55, 94.45, 100, 100, 100, and 100. While the scores of student's activities from the first to the sixth meeting are 93.33, 95.24, 100, 100, 100, and 100. Percentage students that reach knowledge Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 42.11% increase to 57.89% at the first cycle and 68.42% at the second cycle. The result of this research showed that Project Based Learning improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes the students of class VII4 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015

    Penerapan Model Project Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 018 Sungai Keranji

    This research is motivated by lack of the students mathematics learning outcomes, with an average of 69.41 and KKM school that has been determined is 72. This form of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes grade fifth students at 018 primary school Sungai Keranji through the implementation of project-based learning model, implemented in the second semester at year of 2015/2016, with as many as 34 students research subject. The research instrument consisted of learning the instrument and data collection instruments. Data collection techniques were used that technique teacher and student activity observation, test engineering and technical documentation. Data analysis technique used is the analysis of teacher and student activity data and analysis of student learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using simple statistical test. After using project based learning model, there was an improvement both on teacher and student's activity and also the mathematics learning outcomes. Activities teachers in the first cycle of 72.5% with enough categories increased in the second cycle becomes 82.5% in good categories. Activities of students in the first cycle was 72.5% with enough categories increased in the second cycle to 85% in good categories. Percentage completeness of learning outcomes in basic math score of 52.94% with an average of 69.41 increased in the first cycle of 82.35% with an average of 75.61 in the second cycle increased to 88.23% with an average of 84, 91 . improving student learning outcomes from basic score to UH I amounted to 8.93%, while improving student learning outcomes from basic score to UH II amounted to 22.83% .This shows that the implementation of a project based learning model can improve the mathematics learning outcomes grade fifth students at 018 primary school Sungai Keranji

    Implementing Project-Based Learning (PBL) in Final Collection to Improve the Quality of Fashion Design Student

    Fashion design education is one of education that prepares students to work in fashion design field. Students research future fashion trends, sketch designs, select colors, fabrics and patterns, and give instructions on how to make the products they designed. Fashion design education not only nurture and develop student's creative skills, it also teaches essential practical skills such as production techniques and material properties, to create a final product. According to this, new educational methods and strategies are needed in order engage students in the learning process and guarantee higher quality. Project-based learning (PBL) is example of educational approach that takes in account student-center learning. Project based learning (PBL) provides opportunities for students to build these qualities, as well as more deeply learn traditional academic content and understand how it applies to the real world. The methods of Literature review will apply in this research. Literature searches process through journal, proceeding and book. Literature searches are also undertaken most using computer and electronic databases. PBL methodology enhances students learning and improves students' confident, technical skill, soft skill and prepare graduate for professional practice.
