The visual form of the mosque’s interior represents the function of the building inside. In addition to its practical functions, the visuals mosque buildings provide visual meaning from the result of new formations because they get the influence of Chinese culture the characterizes the mosque so that it becomes a building of places of worship that have own character without reducing the values of Islamic law. Acculturation or cultural fusion in its applica-tion to the interior of mosque has a new form and some are only a combined form. Exploring the Giving Practices in American Mosques: Why Do Muslims Give So Little to Their Mosques?
This article represents the first effort to explore the giving practices of Muslims in American mosques. The research for this article was based on two studies: (1) a previously published study, “The American Mosque 2011,” which consisted of 524 telephone interviews of mosque leaders; and (2) a previously unpublished 2013 study of 3 mosques and the 2016 follow-up interviews with donors from the three mosques. The results show that mosque attendees give much less than their counterparts in churches. Interviews with donors in the three mosques were conducted in order to draw some preliminary conclusions as to why the giving rate in mosques is low. The interviews indicate that one of the underlying factors for the low rate of giving is that mosque attendees do not have a clear theology for giving to mosques and that a culture of giving to mosques does not exist among immigrant Muslims. It must be emphasized that this article is exploratory. Broader and more in-depth studies are needed to develop definitive conclusions about giving practices in mosques
The role of Madīna in the emergence of the Mosque-dār al-Imāra combination. A preliminary note
This contribution aims to complete the debates concerning the Mosque of the Prophet in Madīna with a study focused on the dwelling quarters that populated the surroundings of the blessed building over time (622-711). An in-depth analysis of the sources has allowed us to sketch a reliable plan of the ensemble, finally succeeding in demonstrating that the direct link between the mosque and the caliphal residence - conceivably involving a specific ceremonial purpose - must be post-dated to the Marwānid period
Inside the mosque : a study in psychological-type profiling
Within a Christian context a series of studies has profiled religious participation as associated with introversion rather than extraversion and with feeling rather than thinking. The most frequently occurring type in church congregation is ISFJ. In the present study data provided by 48 participants in the mosque demonstrate that within a Muslim context religious participation is associated with extraversion rather than introversion and with thinking rather than feeling. The most frequently occurring types in the mosque are extraversion, sensing, thinking, and judging and ENTJ. These data caution against generalising findings about the connection between personality and religion from one religious tradition to another
