Implementation of Epidemiological Surveys Monitoring in the Class III Airport in Banda Aceh
Airport epidemiological surveillance is the monitoring of the arrival and departure of aircraft and passengers with the potential to cause disease and the risk of epidemics and outbreaks. The purpose of this study was to determine the operational performance analysis and epidemiological reporting in the Class III Airport area of Banda Aceh. This study uses an evaluative descriptive approach and case studies with surveys and direct observations in the field. Data collection techniques are done using secondary data and documentation studies. The results of the study there are significant differences between domestic and foreign flights and unknown flights with a significance value of 0,000 or less than 0.05. there is no significant difference between the incoming crew and the departing crew with a significance value of 0.752 or greater than 0.05 where t arithmetic is still lower than the threshold value of 1.96. There is a significant difference between the number of passengers arriving and the number of passengers leaving. This is seen from the significance value of 0.001 or smaller than the threshold value of 0.05, where t value (3,419) is greater than the threshold value of 1.96. So that it can be proven that the number of passengers arriving and departing is different There is no significant health difference between passengers arriving and passengers leaving from the SIM airport with a sig value of 0.259 or greater than 0.05 where t value is below 1.96. The health conditions of passengers arriving and departing throughout 2019 are the same
Global health - a challenge for interdisciplinary research
Human, animal and plant health is a field of work which offers opportunities for inter- and trans-disciplinary research. The whole topic bridges the natural and social sciences. Today, in a world of global environmental change it is widely recognized that human societies and their wellbeing depend on a sustainable equilibrium of ecosystem services and the possibility of cultural adaptation to global environmental change. The need to identify and quantify health risks related to global environmental change is now one of the most important challenges of humankind. Describing spatial (geographic, intra/inter-population) and temporal differences in health risks is an urgent task to understand societies’ vulnerabilities and priorities for interventions better. The Göttingen International Health Network (GIHN) is a research and teaching network in relation to this cross-cutting topic. The book provides a collection of articles which contribute to this issue of overriding importance and presents an overview of the GIHN launch event
Mangroves degradation: a local perspective on its awareness
Mangroves in Malaysia reside on the coastlines, and the largest areas of mangrove are in the Northern Sabah.
Over the past decades, mangrove species have been reported to be disappearing from the globe. It is due to
several natural processes that have been inserted to fill the needs of the increased population. These include
illegal logging, agriculture activities and urbanisation. In this regards, awareness of the local residents about
the problem of mangrove depletion is important to inhibit the problem to prolong further. Therefore, this
research was conducted to determine the degree of awareness of local residents on the importance of mangroves
in managing environmental quality. Consequently, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 103 respondents to
examine their awareness on the subject of mangrove degradation. The respondents were selected randomly
among local residents of Kuala Selangor district. It is found that only twenty percent of the total number of
respondents are totallyaware of the issue and acted upon it; either taking part in the endeavours made by the
government as well as those with the nongovernmental
bodies or practicing mangroves replanting at their
backyard

Regulation of Food Safety by the National Agency for Drug and Food Control (NADFC) in Indonesia: A Quest for Effectiveness
Food safety is an alarming issue in Indonesia which has enacted numerous laws and regulations and established several regulatory bodies to regulate unsafe food. Nonetheless, the regulation remains largely ineffective. This study investigates the effectiveness of food safety regulation with a special reference to the performance of the National Agency for Drug and Food Control (NADFC) as the main body entrusted with the responsibility to conduct this regulation. This thesis presents qualitative research carried out by employing a desktop study method that involves collating and evaluating available information from various sources. The rules and regulations governing food safety in Indonesia are examined viewing through their equivalents mainly in New South Wales, Australia (NSW). NSW has been chosen because of its wider recognition as a successful regime in regulating food safety
