    The Yale Lar TPC

    Get PDF
In this paper we give a concise description of a liquid argon time projection chamber (LAr TPC) developed at Yale, and present results from its first calibration run with cosmic rays.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, NuInt07 Conference Proceeding

Modules Whose Small Submodules Have Krull Dimension

    Get PDF
The main aim of this paper is to show that an AB5*-module whose small submodules have Krull dimension has a radical having Krull dimension. The proof uses the notion of dual Goldie dimension.Comment: to appear in the Miskolc conference proceeding 199

Weak Conservation Laws for Minimizers which are not Pontryagin Extremals

We prove a Noether-type symmetry theorem for invariant optimal control problems with unrestricted controls. The result establishes weak conservation laws along all the minimizers of the problems, including those minimizers which do not satisfy the Pontryagin Maximum Principle.Comment: Accepted for presentation (Paper No: 113) at the 2nd International Conference "Physics and Control" (PhysCon 2005), August 24-26, 2005, Saint Petersburg, Russia. On the Mass Eigenstate Purity of B^8 Solar Neutrinos

We give a brief report on our recent paper, hep-ph/0601198, in which we calculate the nu_2 mass eigenstate purity of B^8 solar neutrinos as 91 +/- 2 %.Comment: 3 pages, 2 postscript figures, latex, AIP conference style. PANIC 2005 proceeding

PHENIX results on Bose-Einstein correlation functions

    Get PDF
Measurement of Bose-Einstein or HBT correlations of identified charged particles provide insight into the space-time structure of particle emitting sources in heavy-ion collisions. In this paper we present the latest results from the RHIC PHENIX experiment on such measurements.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, WPCF-2015 conference proceeding

A search for deeply bound kaonic nuclear states

We have measured proton and neutron energy spectra by stopping negative kaons on liquid helium4. Two distinct peak structures were found on both spectra, which were assigned to the formation of new kinds of strange stribaryons. In this paper, we summarize both results.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures, HYP2003 conference proceeding

The Electromagnetic Form Factor of the Kaon in the Light-Front Approach

The kaon electromagnetic form factor is calculated within a light-front constituent quark model (LFCQM). The electromagnetic components of the current are extracted from the Feynman triangle diagram within the light-front approach. We also obtain the electroweak decay constant and the charge radius for the kaon in the light-front approach. In this work, the kaon observables are calculated and a fairly good agreement is obtained with a very higher accuracy when compared with the experimental data.Comment: Paper with 4 pages, 1 figure, reference: XII HADRON PHYSICS Conference - to appear in AIP Conference Proceeding
