Influential Article Review - Market Behaviour Research: Findings from New Literature

This paper examines consumer behavior. We present insights from a highly influential paper. Here are the highlights from this paper: This article analyzes 12 years of recent scholarly research on consumer behavior published in the five leading international journals in this field. Analyzing academic contributions to a specific area of research provides valuable insights into how it has evolved over a defined period. The approach was to briefly discuss content analysis and its application in scholarly literature review studies. The methodology used here involves the classification of topics to evaluate key trends in consumer behavior literature. It includes a ranking of topics published, typology of the published articles, the research classification in terms of methodologies, and analysis techniques. The most cited articles in the field and within each journal are also examined. The comprehensive literature review of consumer behavior research undertaken in this article could advance the discipline of consumer behavior research by elucidating the evolution of consumer behavior literature in the studied period. The publication is aimed at those involved in the running of language teacher associations at international, national, regional and local levels. Subversions and Censorship. The Relationship between the Writer and Power during the Century of Dictatorships

La sottoscritta ha curato il volume 39, del 2020 della rivista "Caietele Echinox", intitolato "Subversions and Censorship: The Relationship between the Writer and Power during the Century of Dictatorships", collaborando alla medesima pubblicazione anche come autrice del saggio "Tradurre il bilinguismo di uno scrittore che si autotraduce: Matei Vișniec" (pp. 226-238). Il Volume, redatto in inglese, francese e italiano, contiene nell'introduzione (pp. 7-9) una serie di indicazioni riguardanti il modo in cui è nato questo contributo scientifico: "[Il volume] raccoglie anzitutto i contributi presentati in occasione del convegno internazionale organizzato dalla sottoscritta dal 14 al 16 novembre 2018, col doppio contributo e sostegno del Dipartimento di Filologia, Letteratura e Linguistica e dell’Università di Pisa, e che ha avuto un titolo in parte identico a quello sopracitato, a cui avevamo aggiunto ancora la postille finale “uno sguardo a partire dalla Romania”, poiché l’iniziativa era nata, in prima battuta, dall’opportunità di arricchire l’offerta culturale nell’ambito degli studi di Lingua e di Letteratura Romena che in questa università italiana si pregiano di una lunga esistenza. Il convegno ha inteso valorizzare, in prospettiva trasversale e multidisciplinare, alcuni temi già presentati in occasione di due edizioni consecutive di un seminario interdisciplinare, svolte all’interno del medesimo Dipartimento durante gli anni accademici 2015-16 e 2016-17, ed altri nuovi, allargando sia l’area culturale e geografica di studio – inizialmente quella dei regimi dittatoriali soprattutto dell’Europa Centrale e dell’Est –, sia il periodo temporale dell’indagine, che si è concentrato principalmente sull’arco del Novecento. Tale impostazione interdisciplinare ha messo a confronto aspetti affini e allo stesso tempo diversi (ad es. le guerre, la Shoah, gli effetti della società di massa, altri fenomeni sociali e politici), che hanno caratterizzato anche la cultura occidentale in senso lato. La molteplicità di approcci e la ricchezza di spunti tematici che il lettore scoprirà leggendo l’indice e poi ogni singolo saggio incluso in questo volume, hanno rappresentato alcune delle premesse costitutive del progetto intorno al quale è stato realizzato il convegno, e che, a seguito della collaborazione successiva con la rivista “Caietele Echinox”, risultano adesso rafforzate, grazie in particolare all’apporto complementare di nuovi saggi al corpus già prodotto nel contesto pisano e italiano, apporto offerto da colleghi studiosi dell’Università “Babeş-Bolyai” e di altre università romene e straniere, che hanno risposto al call lanciato dalla redazione di Cluj. In effetti, le giornate di studio trascorse a Pisa hanno riunito studiosi che appartengono ad aree letterarie e filologiche, nonché storiche ed artistiche, atte a configurare il fertile dialogo tra le letterature, in special modo con quella romena, al fine di esaminare fenomeni culturali, linguaggi e tecniche espressive che derivano dal rapporto che si stabilisce tra lo scrittore e il potere politico nel Novecento, proponendo allo stesso tempo di estendere l’esame critico e teorico ai temi della censura, della resistenza o, per converso, all’analisi delle conseguenze che il compromesso con la politica culturale abbia prodotto nel periodo di riferimento, ma anche in altri momenti storici. Sono qui documentate le diverse forme e fasi della censura e il suo reverso, vale a dire le strategie messe in atto per combatterla e/o soltanto per eluderla, dunque, la dissidenza e l’esilio, ovvero gli atteggiamenti assunti da scrittori e uomini di cultura, ai tempi delle dittature. I risultati di questa riflessione critica sono riuniti nelle prime tre sezioni tematiche del volume. In sintonia col tema annunciato nel titolo, il convegno ha avuto come ospite d’onore Matei Vişniec, scrittore bilingue, romeno-francese, uno dei più interessanti drammaturghi europei attuali. Drammaturgo, ma anche poeta e romanziere, Vişniec è nato nel 1956 in Romania e risiede da più di trent’anni a Parigi, dove lavora come giornalista alla Radio France Internationale. Lo scrittore è ampiamente riconosciuto nella cultura del paese di accoglienza soprattutto per la sua drammaturgia, pubblicata quasi integralmente e rappresentata su numerosi palcoscenici, a Parigi, in altre città del mondo. Per conseguenza, gli interventi pubblicati nella quarta sezione tematica illustrano aspetti collegati all’opera complessiva di Vişniec. La dott.ssa David ha seguito e accompagnato il lavoro di cura del volume in tutte le sue fasi: ha avuto dunque modo di collaborare al processo della selezione e della correzione dei saggi, che è stato condotto attraverso il sistema di referaggio peer review, accertando che al numero tematico complessivo sono stati applicati precisi metodi e criteri di valutazione scientifica

Literary Translation, Reception, and Transfer

The three concepts mentioned in the title of this book refer to different forms of contact between two or more literary phenomena. Transfer, reception, and translation studies all imply the ‘travelling’ and the imitation or adaptation of entire texts, genres, forms or contents. Le discours de la critique littéraire journalistique germanophone : étude du marquage de l’hétérogénéité énonciative et des relations métatextuelles

Based on a corpus of 436 texts of German book reviews published in five newspapers of non-specialized press during the first half of the year 2012, this study investigates the discourse of German literary criticism. To try and identify constituent characteristics of the review, three areas of research are envisaged: the textual, discursive and metatexual perspectives. Traditionally conceived with regards to function, the notion of text is considered here in terms of shape. By considering the notions of sequences and periods, developed within the text linguistics, this study identifies a reservoir of forms which underpin the composition and the configuration of the reviews. Besides, the discursive perspective allows us to get a sense the speaking subject of the reviews as a transition for speech and knowledge. The literary critic actually benefits from putting himself in an institutional position that marks his/her relation to knowledge in order to have the best influence on the reader. The challenge is to identify possible linguistic markers which serve this argumentative approach. Finally, the metatextual perspective obliges us to conceive the review in its relationship with the source text. The book review is a real dialogue with the criticized book, the criticism explicitly exploits strategies borrowed from the literary and journalistic speeches. Textual processes of repetition such as reformulation, quotation, allusion or contamination threat to undermine the metatext into a hypertext. These three axes allow to approach the review as a genre, in the interface between text and discourse. The results confirm the idea that the genre must be approached not in a static way, as a list of invariants, but in a dynamic way, as the product of the interference of several discursive genres. Finally, what is at stake is a better understanding of the production and of the reception of the reviews.Fondée sur un corpus de 436 textes de recensions germanophones publiées dans cinq supports de presse généraliste lors du premier semestre 2012, cette étude porte sur le discours de la critique littéraire germanophone. Pour tenter d’identifier des traits constitutifs de la recension, trois axes de recherche sont envisagés : les perspectives textuelle, discursive et métatextuelle. Traditionnellement conçue à partir de la fonction, la notion de texte est considérée ici sous l’angle de la forme. En recourant aux notions de séquences et de périodes, élaborées dans le cadre de la linguistique textuelle, cette étude identifie un réservoir de formes à l’origine de la composition et de la configuration des recensions. Par ailleurs, la perspective discursive permet d’appréhender le sujet énonciateur des recensions comme un lieu de transition de la parole et du savoir. Le critique littéraire s’octroie, en effet, une position institutionnelle qui marque son rapport au savoir afin d’exercer une influence optimale sur le lecteur. L’enjeu est de repérer les marqueurs discursifs qui fondent cette visée argumentative. Enfin, la perspective métatextuelle oblige à concevoir la recension dans son rapport au texte source. Véritable dialogue avec l’œuvre critiquée, la critique exploite explicitement des stratégies empruntées aux discours littéraire et journalistique. Des procédés de reprise textuelle tels que la reformulation, la citation, l’allusion ou la contamination menacent de saper le métatexte pour en faire un hypertexte. Ces trois axes permettent d’aborder la recension en tant que genre, à l’interface entre texte et discours. Les résultats confirment l’idée que le genre doit être abordé non pas dans une perspective statique, comme une liste d’invariants, mais dans une perspective dynamique, comme le résultat de l’interférence de plusieurs genres discursifs. Enfin, c’est une meilleure compréhension de la production et de la réception des recensions qui est en jeu
