National bibliography of Mauritius
Consistent with its statutory responsibility, the National Library compiles the current âNational Bibliography of Mauritiusâ every year. The object of the current National Bibliography is to list every new work printed and published in and on Mauritius, to describe it in detail and give its bibliographical data and subject matter as precisely as possible. The National Bibliography is considered as a useful information tool, which gives access to the National Libraryâs Mauritiana Collection. It contains works printed in Mauritius during that period and deposited at the National Library, under the Legal Deposit Regulations and also those acquired through other sources. It includes books, society newsletters, government publications, current serials, reports, company accounts and reports, school magazines and newspapers. The first âNational Bibliography of Mauritiusâ for the years 1996 to 2000 was published in 2002. The second âNational Bibliography of Mauritiusâ for the years 2001 to 2003 was published in May 2005

Bibliography of Life: comprehensive services for biodiversity bibliographic references
The underlying principle of the Bibliography of Life is to provide taxonomists and others with a freely accessible bibliography covering the whole of life. Such a bibliography has been achieved for specific study areas within taxonomy, but not for âlifeâ as a whole.
Now the ViBRANT project has produced the two components needed to realize the concept of a Bibliography of Life: RefBank and ReFinder. RefBank is a network of servers that store, identify duplicates, and parse the components of bibliographic references. ReFinder is designed to discover and download references from a wide range of open access online bibliographies, such as CrossRef, PubMed, Mendeley, Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL), RefBank, BioStor, BioNames and others
Indigenous governance bibliography
AIATSIS has compiled this bibliography on Indigenous governance as part of its Indigenous Governance Building: Mapping current and future research and practical resource needs project. It is to be read in conjunction with an AIATSIS bibliography on free, prior and informed consent, engagement and consultation, and other bibliographies relating to various aspects of Indigenous governance which have been included in the following pages and are also available via the project webpage linked above.
The term âgovernanceâ is wide reaching and it has not been possible to cover all Indigenous governance related topics comprehensively. Within the context of this project governance is broadly defined as a cultural construct where the principles and standards of what constitutes âgoodâ, âgood enoughâ, âstrongâ, âlegitimateâ, âineffectiveâ, âcorruptâ or âbadâ governance are informed by culturally-based values, traditions and ideologies; and vary significantly between different societies. There is no end-point goal of âperfectâ governance that will eventually be achieved in the future. Rather, governance is adaptive according to context and circumstances. This means it may swing between effectiveness and dysfunction. It is to be found as much in peopleâs daily self-determined practices, processes and relationships, as it is in visible structures and formal institutions
Beyond the Annals of Murder: The Life and Works of Thomas M. McDade
Thomas M. McDade is best known (if not well-known enough) for his seminal 1961 reference bibliography, The Annals of Murder: A Bibliography of Books and Pamphlets on American Murders from Colonial Times to 1900. Beyond that singular text on early American murder trial accounts, though, lies more than 70 additional publications on American legal history, law enforcement, and literature, gathered together for the first time in an annotated bibliography of McDadeâs lesser-known writings. The article also examines McDadeâs fascinating life and varied career as an early FBI agent, World War II veteran, corporate executive, and true crime chronicler
