Developing Teaching Materials to Increase Motivation of Home Economics Teacher Training Course Students: An Experiment Using a Video of a Junior High School Bag Sewing Competition
The aim of this research was to develop teaching materials for home economics teacher training course students that would raise curiosity and motivation about teaching bag sewing to junior high school students. Digital teaching material was created using a video of a junior high school bag sewing competition. An experimental lesson using the digital material was conducted. Free description analysis after the lesson suggested that the home economics teacher training course students could feel how hard the junior high school students worked for the competition. The confidence and learning motivation of the home economics students were found to have increased. In addition, the efficiency analysis of twenty-two teachers after the viewing suggested that this video could increase the understanding of competition. Studies on Teaching Methods and Subject Matter in Home Economics in Elementary-School Teacher Training Courses
女子大生の被服実習に対する意識と基本縫いの技術に関する考察
被服実習指導の課題を明らかにするため,被服製作への志向性がない福祉系学部の女子大生に対して,小学校から高等学校までの家庭科における被服実習への取り組みを問うアンケートを行い,大学授業での実習作品の評価との関係を分析した。2010年から2015年までの6年間に被服実習を受講した129名の作品を手縫い(まつり縫い)とミシン縫い(小物製作)を中心に基本的な技術の習得について評価した。被服実習では上手く縫えなかったなど苦手で難しいと思った者は約70%で,特にミシンを使って縫うことが難しいと感じている。被服製作の苦手意識が高い学生は,手縫いの評価が低い傾向にあるが,ミシン縫いの評価点にはほとんど関係なく,上達すると評価点は高くなった。被服実習においては,ミシンの指導と設備環境を整えることが重要である

被服製作に関する指導内容の変遷と大学生の意識
本研究は、被服製作の在り方を検討するために、小学校および中学校学習指導要領の内容に記述された被服製作に関する題材の変遷と、大学1年生を対象に小・中・高等学校で製作した作品、手縫いに関する理解、被服製作実習の有用性について調査を行った。その結果、被服製作実習で扱われる題材は衣服から布を用いた製作に変化している中で、基礎的・基本的な知識と技能を習得する上で初等教育の重要性を明らかにした。departmental bulletin pape
家庭科教育と大学の実験・実習科目との関連性:過去5 年間の家庭科教職課程履修者に対するアンケート結果から
Home economics education in junior and senior high school is under pressure to include expanded practical and experience-based activities aimed at deepening scientific understanding. Developing home economics teachers’ practical capabilities is the domain of the education courses that grant teaching licenses, and particular emphasis is placed on the experiment and training subjects taught at university. Given this, we conducted a questionnaire survey of the past five years of graduates from the teaching courses for home economics, seeking to gain understanding of their level of awareness when completing the experiment and training subjects at university and of the realities of home economics education. We then considered the relationship between the two. The results revealed that most of the respondents learn with an awareness that the experiment and training subjects covered in the teaching curriculum will relateto home economics education in the future, and most people found them useful in home economics education and practical teacher training. Many respondents learned while observing the teaching methods of the teachers in charge and the supporting actions of the training assistants, in addition to improving their techniques and learning theory. This enabled the respondents to make use of these observations when they themselves teach students. Moreover, in actual teaching settings, home economics teachers are responsible for practical classes that account for many hours. The areas dealt with in those classes include clothing, food, and children and child-rearing, and a relationship was observed between these topics and the experiment and training subjects covered in the university teaching courses.原著論
