Abstract

Mastering terminology methods and digital tools is essential for professional interpreters, as, like translators, they may deal with specialized content that is totally or partially unfamiliar to them, and in different contexts. However, the terminological needs of interpreters differ in part from those of translators and terminologists, particularly regarding information gathering and management. In this article, we develop the pedagogical approach reflected in an undergraduate workshop in the third year of a bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages at a French university. This workshop aims to raise awareness of the interest and specificities of terminology in interpreting. We conclude by presenting some critical feedback from students on this learning and terminology and on the ways of improvement we considered
