Impacto da Pandemia de COVID-19 no Curso Afecções Neurológicas na Atenção Básica

Abstract

“Attention to Frequent Neurological Problems in Primary Care” was an online self-instructional course offered by UNASUS UFOP from 2020 to 2023, coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic. Objectives: To characterize the profile of enrollments and completions of participants with the phases of the pandemic according to age, gender, location, and profession. Methodology: This is an analytical, cross-sectional, and quantitative study of the course participants. Results: There was a concentration in the younger age groups (20-29 years, 52.74%; 30-39 years, 25.55%), with a predominance of women (81.89%), students (49.13%), and individuals from the southeast region (35.24%); the phases of the pandemic affected course demand and completion rates, with trends related to age group, profession, and region of the country. Participants from the North and Northeast regions appear to have been more affected by regional pandemic response issues. Conclusion: Enrollments and completions varied with the phases of the pandemic and regional specificities. As a cross-sectional study, complementary studies are needed.“Atenção aos Problemas Neurológicos frequentes na Atenção Básica” foi um curso online autoinstrucional ofertado pela UNASUS UFOP de 2020 a 2023, coincidindo com a pandemia de COVID-19. Objetivo: caracterizar o perfil de matrículas e conclusões dos ingressantes às fases da pandemia de acordo com idade, sexo, localidade e profissão. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo analítico, transversal e quantitativo dos ingressantes no curso. Resultados: Houve concentração nas faixas etárias mais jovens (20-29 anos, 52,74%, 30-39 anos, 25,55%), predominaram mulheres (81,89%), estudantes (49,13%), da região sudeste (35,24%);  As fases da pandemia afetaram a procura pelo curso e taxa de conclusão, com tendências impactadas pela faixa-etária, profissão e região do país. Cursistas do Norte e Nordeste parecem ter sido mais afetados por questões regionais de abordagem da pandemia. Conclusão: Matrículas e conclusões variaram com as fases da pandemia e especificidades regionais. Como estudo transversal, estudos complementares são necessários
