Repercussões do curso de aperfeiçoamento em saúde mental de adolescentes e jovens

Abstract

The objective was to analyze the satisfaction of graduates from a mental health improvement course for adolescents and young adults, their perceptions of learning, and to identify the challenges in implementing changes. This was a qualitative study with 20 graduates, interviewed online. The results showed that the course deconstructed stereotypes and provided confidence in dealing with adolescents. The teaching strategy involving complex cases in a fictional setting allowed graduates to relate to the reality of their work and understand adolescence in its diversity, respecting various diversities and intersectionalities. The study confirmed that the course achieved its goal, as it expanded the theoretical framework of the graduates, emphasized ethical issues, and highlighted the importance of teamwork and intersectoral coordination. The identification of difficulties, many of which are embedded in complex dimensions (social, economic, or political), demonstrated that translating theory into practice for the graduates is a challenge beyond the course itself.O objetivo foi analisar a satisfação dos concluintes de um curso de aperfeiçoamento em saúde mental de adolescentes e jovens, suas percepções sobre aprendizagem, e identificar as dificuldades para implementar mudanças. Estudo qualitativo com 20 concluintes, entrevistados por meio on-line. Os resultados mostraram que o curso desconstruiu estereótipos e proporcionou segurança para lidar com o adolescente. A estratégia didática com casos complexos em território fictício permitiu ao concluinte a identificação com a realidade de seu trabalho e a compreensão de adolescências na pluralidade, respeitando diversidades e interseccionalidades. O estudo confirmou que o curso cumpriu seu objetivo, pois ampliou o arcabouço teórico dos concluintes, valorizou as questões éticas e a importância do trabalho em equipe e da articulação intersetorial. A identificação das dificuldades, muitas inseridas em dimensões complexas (sociais, econômicas ou políticas), mostrou que a transposição da teoria para a prática dos concluintes é um desafio para além do próprio curso
