Reconstrucción de la memoria en “Space Invaders” y “La dimensión desconocida” de Nona Fernández

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to analyze the recurring themes in the novels Space Invaders (2013) and La dimension desconocida/ The Twilight Zone (2016) by the Chilean author Nona Fernández (1971) such as: the children’s’ voices, the recalling of memory amongst generations, the household, the use of games to narrate, the desire to escape and the testimony, with the purpose of showing how these themes build the autofiction in the author’s discourse and the reconstruction of individual memories as a matter if resistance towards the official memory after the dictatorship in Chile. Furthermore, these memories become representations of the collective memory in the literature of the son’s generation that allows to learn about contemporary Chile. Keywords: Nona Fernández, Chilean literature, dictatorship, memory, autofictionEl presente trabajo analiza los temas recurrentes en las novelas Space Invaders (2013) y La dimensión desconocida (2016) de la autora chilena Nona Fernández (1971) como son: la voz de los niños, la memoria entre generaciones, la casa, el juego y el escapismo y el testimonio, con el objetivo de mostrar cómo logran construir la autoficción de la autora y la reconstrucción de memorias individuales a manera de resistencia contra la memoria oficial postdictadura en Chile. Además, estas memorias conforman una representación de la memoria colectiva de la literatura de los hijos que nos permite conocer el Chile contemporáneo
