Abstract

This article seeks to highlight the performance of some Peruvian psychologists within the government of General Juan Velasco Alvarado (1968-1975). It concentrates above all, on two of them: Leopoldo Chiappo (1924-2010) and Carlos Franco (1939-2011); although allusion is also made to others who at the time served in state positions. It should be noted that the role of such professionals in a military government brought with it significant social and political consequences, which so far have not been analyzed in the history of Peruvian psychology.Este artículo busca destacar la actuación de algunos psicólogos peruanos dentro del gobierno del general Juan Velasco Alvarado (1968-1975).
