Abstract
In the late 1920s, Stant Machine Company, Inc. became known for their design and production of hood ornaments. Under the watchful eye of Henry Ford, Stant produced the radiator ornament for his new Model A. The result was the famous Ford flying quail ornament. Other noted ornaments include the 1937 Packard (modeled after Stant’s daughter), 1932 Pierce-Arrow, 1934 Lincoln, and 1938 Cadillac.Use of image is restricted to projects related to Destination Indiana.
