Abstract

Mugham, Traditional Music, Universal Sound, Thought and Music, Mugham as "Soft Power", Philosophy of MusicMugham is the traditional music of Azerbaijan. In the book, Mugham which presented as a manifestation of Universal Sound is mainly researched as a way of thinking. For this purpose, comparisons are made between Mugham and philosophical currents, especially Sufism. The parallel study of Mugham with the history of national thinking also clarifies some important points of national mentality. In accordance with the spirit of the modern era in the book also studies the multicultural essence of Mugham. With that very important truth is emphasized: according to its power of influence and mission, mugham is the "soft power" of Azerbaijan. The book is designed for experts, junior researchers and wide reader mass.
