Dance and development of children with special needs

Abstract

Promatrajući ples kao jedno od sredstava komunikacije primjećuje se kako ples potiče u djeci kreativnost te razvijanje motoričkih sposobnosti. Valja spomenuti pojam plesa koji se definira kao ritmičko pokretanje i jedinstveno izražavanje vlastitim tijelom te mogućnost samostalnog izražavanja, ali također i u skupinama. Jedno od osnovnih obilježja djeteta je stalna težnja ka motoričkoj aktivnosti stoga odabirom prave glazbe dolazi se do plesnog izražavanja kod djeteta. Kada govorimo o samom nastanku plesa povezujemo ga sa svim ljudskim tradicijama kao što su rat, rad ili ljubav. Načini kojima su ljudi pokazivali svoje plesne sposobnosti, istovremeno su otkrivali i njihove religijsko-kulturne običaje. Ples kao takav, zauzimao je veliku ulogu u važnim trenutcima života kao što su ženidba, sahrana i sl. Također, bitno je spomenuti narodne plesove koji su umjetnička djela pojedinih naroda. Dakle, zahvaljujući njima, održavaju se povijesne, društveno-gospodarske i kulturne posebnosti određenog područja. Promatrajući različita istraživanja vezna uz utjecaj plesa na razvoj djeteta s posebnim potrebama, dolazi se do različitih zaključaka. Ples se smatra terapijom za oslobađanje frustracija i stresa. Također, plesnom aktivnošću se poboljšava shvaćanje vlastitog tijela i njegovih funkcija. Plesnom terapijom se liječe i bolesnici koji uz pomoć glazbe, ritma i plesa poprimaju rezultat radosti, živosti te psihičke relaksacije. Kada se govori o razvoju djece s posebnim potrebama osnovni ciljevi plesnih struktura su: lijepo držanje tijela, orijentacija u prostoru, izražajnost u pokretu, postignuta glazbena izražajnost, osjećaj odnosa plesa i pokreta.Looking at dance as one of the means of communication, one notices that dance encourages creativity and the development of motor skills in children. The notion of dance, which is defined as rhythmic movement and unique expression by one's own body, as well as the possibility of independent expression, but in groups also, should be mentioned. One of the basic characteristics of the child is the constant desire for motor activity, so choosing the right music leads to dance expression in the child. When it comes to dance beginning itself, we associate it with all human traditions, such as war, work or love. The ways in which people displayed their dance skills also revealed their religious and cultural customs. Dance as such, has played a large role in important moments of life such as marriage, funeral, etc. It is also important to mention folk dances which are works of art of individual nations. So, thanks to them, the historical, socio-economic and cultural peculiarities of a particular area are maintained. Different conclusions are drawn looking at the various studies regarding the impact of dance on the development of a special needs child. Dance is considered a therapy for the release of frustration and stress. As well, dance activity improves understanding of one's body and its functions. Dance therapy also treats patients who, with the help of music, rhythm and dance, receive the result of joy, liveliness and psychological relaxation. When it comes to the development of children with special needs, the basic goals of dance structures are: beautiful posture, orientation in space, expressiveness in movement, achieved musical expressiveness, sense of relationship between dance and movement
