Abstract

Legal issues that becomes the focus of study in this paper includes factors that cause the occurrence of domestic violence and forms of legal protection for women in domestic violence Under Law No. 23 of 2014. This study is based on a basic study of normative law through informative legal materials search with statutory interpretation analysis. From the results of the study it can be argued that the factors that lead to behavioral deviations in the form of domestic violence is the influence of liquor, gambling, childhood (environment) and descent. While the forms of protection for women in domestic violence may take the forms of sanction of imprisonment for offenders who commit physical violence, psychological violence and neglect of household decency
