An essay for the catalogue accompanying the exhibition Political/Minimal at Kunstwerke, Berlin, November 30, 2008 - January 25, 2009. The exhibition, curated by Klaus Biesenbach, subsequently travelled to Muzeum Sztuki, Lodz.
