Abstract
del arte como producto socialThe following article raises some reflections on the young tucumanos, taking as test case students from
the Faculty of Arts of the UNT. Here are taken into account their interest in their own productions, their
ways of participation and interaction and their fights for the public space. This situation presents a deep
problematic between the practice of their discipline usually individual and their political participation,
which is an essentially a collective phenomenon.
For this research we use the concept of generations and from there we take a brief historical journey
from the 60s/70s to these days. Starting with the young people that are totally incorporated in political
activities and their denial of the market, to others that where formatted by the search of new ways of
expressions to overcome the censorship of a dictatorship, without leaving out the youngsters from the
90s and their diluted culture, or the actual ones that don’t question globalization but rather accept it
as being in this world. Specifically looking at Buenos Aires and other big urban centers. Today ruled
by new technologies, young artists are in a process of repositioning and redirecting their artistic/ethic/
political vision. This is being reflected in sociopolitical critics, resistance and impugnation practices
generally giving way to the proliferation of alternative art galleries and the process of self management.
But this painful process gave way to the resignification of the artistic production while abandoning the
market definitions to consolidate the notion of art as a social product.Fil: Wyngaard, Alejandra María. Facultad de Artes; Universidad Nacional de Tucumán
