Synthesis of C–B–O five membered ring by hydroboration of allylalcohols in standard conditions

AbstractThe hydroboration of protected allylalcohols by two different groups gives no linear structures of siloxypropylboranyls as predicted but gives the C–B–O five membered ring 1,2-H-oxaborolanes with good yield. A mechanism is also proposed to explain this cyclisation
