Abstract

Although elderly people constitute a considerable proportion of medical practice, physicians often feel discouraged when faced with their complex medical and social problems. Age alone is not a good indicator of a person's ability to respond to treatment, although it may suggest the likelihood of some conditions being present. Careful inquiry may suggest appropriate treatment
