Intenção empreendedora dos estudantes no ensino superior politécnico em Portugal

Abstract

This paper analyses a sample of 264 students from the Polytechnic Institute of Santarem and their attitudes towards establishing their own businesses. It uses an entrepreneurial intention model that examines the determinants of business creation by students, including analysis of the social environment and perceptions of their entrepreneurial skills, as well as the analysis of the motivating factors and barriers facing students in establishing business. The results revealed that over 70% of the students expressed a positive desire to create their own business, as well as the importance of the subjects of marketing and entrepreneurship. The results also indicate that the Polytechnic Institute is neither supporting nor encouraging the creation of enterprises by students
