"Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Bishop; Margaret. B. Oct. 23, 1903; Julia. B. Apr. 8, 1905; Mary. B. Sept. 22, 1906. Picture taken in Tokyo, Jan. 1912(?). Mr. Bishop died in California April 4, 1913." This is a portrait of William J. Bishop and his second wife, Clara Elliott, with their three children, Mary, Julia, and Margaret. It was taken in Japan one year before Mr. Bishop's death in California from Tuberculosis
