Photographic portrait of William D. Laraby, chief engineer of the Pacific Electric Railroad, ca.1900. Mr. Laraby is pictured in bust looking straight ahead, cropped into an oval frame. He wears a tweed jacket that buttons up to the top of his chest, a button-down shirt and a tie. His eyes are wide and appear gentle, if not earnest. He wears a graying handlebar moustache and has combed his thinning hair into a quiff to the left. His ears are large and have lobes connected to the face
