Abstract

Photograph of artwork depicting San Francisco's principle street, 1850. Buildings, mostly single story, line the streets. The street is busy with pedestrian and horse-drawn carriage traffic. Several teepees are set up behind the buildings at left. The only legible sign reads: "Reynold's Store". In the foreground at right, a pile of barrels enclosed by a wooden fence can be seen alongside the building. Clusters of buildings extend far into the background
