Sistem of tracking a wind turbine to wind direction

Abstract

Energija je svojih različnih oblikah nujna za življenje ljudi. Električna energija je z gospodarskim razvojem postala vsestransko uporabna na različnih področjih, zato se število njenih porabnikov neprestano povečuje. Zaradi navedenega je potrebno zagotoviti vedno večjo količino proizvedene električne energije. Večja osveščenost prebivalstva o negativnih posledicah koriščenja konvencionalnih energijskih virov je pripomogla k popularizaciji vetrne energije. Vetrna energija je čist, poceni in neizčrpen vir energije. Vetrne elektrarne za obratovanje ne potrebujejo goriva, zato pri proizvodnji energije iz vetra ne nastajajo emisije ogljikovega dioksida. Za dober izkoristek vetrnih turbin pa je pomembno tudi, da na lokaciji zagotovimo sistem za sledenje vetrnice vetru, še posebej, če je ta na lokaciji spremenljive smeri. V diplomski nalogi je predstavljen sistem za sledenje male turbine spremembam smeri vetra, ki je bil razvit za lastne potrebe na Goričkem. Uporaba tega sistema kaže, da je z njim mogoče izkoristiti energijo vetra iz različnih smeri in s tem pokriti večji del potrebe po električni energiji za oskrbo vikenda.Energy, in its different forms is necessary for our lives. Electricity with the economic development, has become very useful in many different areas. That is why its usage is increasing rapidly. We constantly have to increase the amount of electrical production. The growing awareness of negative conventional use of energy resources, has contributed to the ever growing popularization of wind energy. Wind energy is a clean, cost effective and inexhaustible source of energy. For their operation, wind power plants don\u27t need any fossil fuels. Because of that, the production of wind energy doesn\u27t produce any emissions. To increase the production efficiency of wind turbines, it is important to develop a system for wind tracking if the wind direction varies on the standing location. With this kind of wind tracking, we are able to get the maximum efficiency from wind flow, because it flows perpendicularly through the rotor. In diploma work i present the system for tracking a small wind turbine, which was developed for my personal wind power plant in Goričko. The use of the tracking system has showed, that we can use the wind energy more efficiently. With this system we are able to produce more energy, that we can use for our own purposes.
