An Analytical Study on Rope Skipping Pattern in Infants and Children

なわ跳び運動の基本動作である1回旋1跳躍の運動技術の習熟過程を検討するために,5才から12才までの幼児・児童男女619名を対象に1分間の自由跳びを実施させ,その際の跳躍フォーム(身体各部の動き),跳躍回数(回旋頻度,失敗回数)を16mmカメラ及びVTRカメラを通して分析した。その結果,跳躍フォームからみるとA型からF型の6種類の運動パターンに分類することができ,加令に伴なってA型からF型に移動する傾向がみられた。また,跳躍回数も加令に伴なって増加し,9才以降横ばいの傾向がみられた。つまり,跳躍フォーム,跳躍回数からみると,男女ともに9才から10才にかけて1回旋1跳躍の運動技術が習得されると考えられる。Six hundred and nineteen children aged from 5 to 12 years served as subjects in this study to analize the learning process in rope skipping (foward turn free skipping). Frequencies of skips and failures in a one minute rope skipping were counted and the motion of skipping of each child was filmes and taped using two kinds of camera (16mm movie and VTR). (1) Forms of the rope-skipping were classified into 6 patterns (A to F) in both sexes. (2) Computing the percentage of appearance of each motor pattern under age and sex, all subjects were classified into Pattern A in five years old children and for the others percentages changed significantly (p<0.01) with their years. (3) The frequency of non-miss 5 continuous jumps showed 10% in five years old children, 50% in six, and increasing with their years indicated 100% after nine in both sexes. As the frequency of rope jumping increased progressively from age 5 to 8, the frequency of failure tend to decrease in number. On and after age 9, frequencies of rope skipping and the frequencies of failure both showed no remarkabled changes with their ages
