Hysteretic Behavior of Flat-Bar Brace stiffened by Square Steel Tube (SF-damper)

Abstract

The 10th Earthquake Engineering Symposium proceedings 1998平鋼(極軟鋼を使用)を角形鋼管で座屈補剛した平鋼ブレースの制震部材としての性能を把握するために、単材の繰り返し載荷実験、および、ダンパー付き骨組の載荷実験を行った。さらに、主要な破壊モードである補剛鋼管の局部耐力で決まる場合の耐力、限界ひずみを解析的に検討した。実験の結果は、適切な軸材の幅厚比と補剛鋼管の選定およびクリアランスの管理の下で、安定した履歴挙動を示し、優れた塑性変形能力を有することを確認した。また鋼管連続バネモデルで最大耐力、最大ひずみを概ね推定できることを確認した。We had studied flat-bar brace stiffened by square steel tube (SF-damper) ; flat-bar was made of low yield stress steel. In order to grasp restoring capacity of SF-damper, member tests, frame tests and analytical study by simplified model which was costructed substituting continuous elastic springs for square tube were ccarried out. The conclusion of this study can be summarized as follows ; the hysteretic behavior of SF- damper, which satisfied the condition of D/t ratio of square tube and B/t ratio of flat-bar, is stable under 1.5 % axial strain, cumulative ductility factor is sufficient for seismic performance and the strength, strain and hysteretic loop model of SF-damper can be predicted by the calculation with the formula which presented in this paper
