Nowadays, more and more virtual manufacturing simulations use volume rendering technology to enhance the display results and effects. When using\ud large volume data sets, normal rendering algorithms trade off image quality against rendering speed. However, it is often not necessary to render the\ud whole data set at some particular observation angles. If the unnecessary data ( during a special defined condition) can be edited, the rendering time can\ud be saved and the frame rate can be raised. Similar research aim has been carried out by some world-renowned graphics groups. They have demonstrated\ud that this approach is worthy of additional work
